I dont know how the loot system is working, but i have an idea, how you could have another maybe better looting system:
For example:
with every grey item, the player will get an +50% chance for an white item.
If he gets it, the chance for a white item will be resetet to 0%.
And he gets a +30% Chance of getting a blue item.
If he gets the blue item, the chance will be resetet to 0% for the blue item.
And he will get a +20% chance of getting a green item.
If he gets a green item, the chance of getting a green item will be resetet to 0%.
And he will recieve a +5% chance of getting a yellow item.
If he gets this item, the chance of getting a yellow item will be resetet to 0%.
After he gets the yellow item he will get a chance of +0,5% to recieve a orange item.
If he gets it, the chance for an orange item will be resetet to 0%.
If a player will get the orange item, he will get a chance of +0,1% of getting a precursor.
And the precursor (spark, dusk,…) will be dropped randomly.
Means: if you have a chance of gettign an precursor
AND you will get one, it will be randomly which one you will get.
The pro of this system is the loot is more controlled, everyone can get one, if he loots enough.
So there are jumping puzzles more interesting and there are no more gamer, which get 21 or more Precursor dropped.
