As far as I can see I´m not the first to fall in love with the Mursaat Backpack/Glider and the Mursaat outfit. They look really awesome and I really like the thought of running around like one of them. I probably spend way too much time at that event in Ember Bay where you dress up like one of them……..anyway, here I am, giving it a try (btw, awesome concept, really like the idea). Additionally, I´m unsure how long they will remain in the shop – so why not?^^
I´d be really happy to get the Mursaat Glider – as someone else said already, asking for both of them seems greedy (well……but I´d be lying if I said that I would turn down the Mursaat Outfit if someone would be extra generous ).
Thanks in advance for reading, and if someone really gifts me something – ultra thanks in advance

Tangled Depths: What were they thinking?

As an example of the badness, I was trying to get to Ogre Camp to get the waypoint. I ended up in the waterway (not intentionally), and seeing a pool under the camp I figured I could just swim there. After swimming for 15 min, I got to a big pool under the camp. Loking for a way to the platform, I saw that it looked like I needed to jump along a series of crystals to the exit. Did that for another 5-10min. Then got the end and looked up to disver that I was in kitten with some tree branches leading up. Realizing that to even try to go up that would involve trying to walked along branches and make pixel precision jumps all the way up, something notorious for the “moves you so quickly to the side when you encounter a non-visible stop that you instantly fall off” issue, I left the map in disgust, having spent OVER HALF AN HOUR GETTING 0 LOOT TO GET TRAPPED IN A DEAD END. Not only is there a giant room that on the map screams “something is hear”, but the layout of the room continues to make you believe that something is there after you arrive for a significant period of time. That is just one example of the poor design that went into the map. A dead end should be obvious when you get there, not indicate by it’s design that if you just do X you will reach something that turns out to be another dead end.

Hate to tell you this, but there is something there. Thats the jumping puzzle in Tangled Depths – you get an achievement if you dance in the final room.

I really like the way you made that. I read your post in the feedback thread and have to totally agree – THIS is what patch notes need to look like. At least if they are advertising it as “4 big patches a year”. I havent read all your proposed changes but I just like your general idea – keep it up

Glad to see you asking for Feedback!

First, I play mainly Mesmer, so I could talk about how over the top the 50% nerf to Alacrity is, but I think you heard enough of that. Lets just look at it the other way – would you ever increase the effectiveness of a skill/boon/whatever by a 100%? Because thats what you did, just in reverse. That it affects the whole traitline makes it even worse.

Second, I really like the Shatterer changes. The fight isnt that hard but thats ok. The fight became more interesting (read: Not standing in one spot for 5 min of dps) and I would wish some of the other world bosses would follow. Mostly the lower level ones, but even Karka Queen is just “dps and done”.

Third…..and most important I want to speak about the patch in general. You want to do 4 “big” patches a year? Thats ok. Its something to look forward for, you can collect data over 3 months and then make the game better. That was the idea, right?
The point is…..it just doesnt feel that way. Around 10 little changes per class feel like you just looked at each class for a few minutes, said “Uhm, that seems high, that seems low, change that a little, done. Next class?” I dont want to say that you did it that way, but it just seems so.
Xaylin has addressed this earlier and I will repost his link as well so please look at THIS. I dont want to say that those are the right changes – but that IS how a big patch should look like, for each class on its own. You need to take your time and look at each class closely and identify its flaws – either what needs to be buffed or nerfed.
I know you say that the Anet Team reads in the forums, but perhaps having someone communicate with the players more frequently would help as well. Just having someone in each class forum from the staff who would talk to the players would help immensly. For example pre-HoT in the Revenant-forum – Roy was there and discussing things with the players. That was great and I play Revenant because I thought “Hey, someone from Anet really wants us to like that class. I should try it.” Make that happen for all the classes, please.
These are the official forums after all. If you dont talk to us here we cant really expect you to talk to us at all.
