What class solos champions the best?

I’ve done HoT map completion on all classes and have soloed or at least attempted to solo all HoT champions on each class. In my experience MM reaper is the best followed very closely by druid. Engineer would be a top pick too I guess if you’re highly skilled and aren’t concerned about carpal tunnel. The reason I don’t think druid is quite as good as MM is because druids have to give up more dps to reach MM levels of sustain and tankiness which can matter on some timed fights.

For weapons use D/W unless you have to range then go axe. For gear I use knights and zerker but whatever you’re most comfortable with is fine. Even in full zerker you’ll be quite tanky in this spec. Condi gear is also very viable. Rune of the Lich or Rune of the Privateer are both inexpensive and good runes that add to your pet spam but I prefer lich runes because of the synergy with traits.

In normal situations you can keep up 10-12 or so pets which add dps regardless of what kind of gear you have on, soaks up damage, and contributes to your healing. I’ve soloed every non-raid HoT champion with the above build along with various fractals and dungeons while doing achievements. I even started to solo the hearts and minds challenge mode but eventually got bored because it was taking so long and brought a group instead. There really isn’t anything that you can’t solo with this build unless it requires two people like some dungeons.

For druid there’s a lot more options when it comes to builds. In general, for versatile druid builds that can outlast and solo most anything I like to go condi and use condi/toughness/healing gear and spec in a way that gives perma regen and high protection uptime for you and your pet.
