Guild Wars 2

So with this new expansion coming I’ve been toying with the idea of coming back. I had heart of thorns when I left. But I left mainly cause of the tedious crafting to get legends and the constant changes of all the PvP. I love both elements of the game…but I don’t ever have that feeling of being really “good at your class” type feel.

Is it worth trying again? Has the changes helped or hinder this game since heart?

Hi all Im an engi trying to fill a group roll of some type without completely following a meta build. I use them as templates to build my own in most games I play then tweak it. Im trying out CELESTIAL RIFLE BUILD but instead of using nades I use elixir gun. So my setup is roughly -tool kit-elixir gun-slick shoes. So for toolbelt I have 2 stunbreaks 2regens and group cc using heal turret as my personal Condi clear. Im still maximizing and playing with traits but im currently 60044. I want to utilize this build and so far the damage has been decent but my survival is higher then a kite!. My question is can any engi build work on a 2 kit build without nades or bombs?

Im a returning player so bare with me. It looks like this build might get nerfed coming the xpac. But Im curious as an overall build if its still any good? It seems fun and I can do a lot of things to stay alive/survive in spvp/duels. Not sure what how well it would do in wvw. I ‘ve read everything about the meta builds and such and played with one or 2. So far the elixir build (no elixir gun just elixir/rifle skills) just feels right. But on occasion I get wtf pwned in 2-3 hits by one guardian! Not sure how that happens really. When that happens then I wonder If I’m missing something. Any advice would be appreciated.
