Guild Wars 2

I think when I last played I was going with a 2H sword/ 1h sword and focus with a 0/0/10/20/20 build well thats what I currently have set up at lvl 60 im guessing i was going for a frontline fighter, I’m thinking ill just remake him and start fresh my professions are sorta screwy and I hate what he looks like :P

Well I never said I didn’t enjoy playing my Guardian but just when I did WvWvW I didn’t know what my purpose was. I actually really like him and that was the reason I got him to 60. The thing is when I got on him I feel very lost with what is going on in the game heh.

well I guess I should also mention I was looking to be more of damage dealer or maybe even tank, but as a Guardian I felt restricted to support and I felt extremely weak with the scepter and or staff.

I’d prefer to not go back to the Guardian because I remember always feeling out of place in WvWvW

Hey guys, I played for a while when the game first came out and a little in the beta I got my Guardian to lvl 60 and then I just didn’t have time to play anymore.

But now I do! But when I got on my Guardian I felt completely lost with what was going on, and what changes had been made to the Guardian so I was thinking I’d just reroll another character.

So, I’m here to ask for suggestions of what class I should start over with, I would like to WvWvW and PvE and preferably to be able to hold my own alone in WvWvW when it comes down to it. I also am not looking for an overly complex class at endgame such as what the engineer used to be. So if you could leave your suggestions it would be greatly appreciated

Statement above Isn’t completely true a 10/30/0/0/30 rifle build can do great single target dmg. There’s plenty of hybrid ranged/melee builds that provide good support and good dmg so that would probably be a better choice then just ranged only.

This is a pure ranged warrior build, I havent seen it posted around and I was curius about peoples opinion on it. The main reason for me making this build is to have the single target dmg of rifle and the aoe dmg of longbow.

Well it looks like a solid 2h sword build but you have no traits favoring 1h+torch. With no traits benefiting 1h your 2h sword will do as much if not more dps single target. If your determined to stick with 2h sword I’d go with scepter+shield/focus (for ranged dps, cc, etc.) or go with staff

Hey guys, I’ve been playing GW2 since the 3 day head start. I made a character of every class and tried them out and couldn’t pick until I tried the Guardian, the last class I tried, and I absolutely loved it. I really liked the sword and board idea but since shield is quiet lacking right now i came up with an alternative and went 1h sword and torch.

You can change this build around a bit to favor focus for more support i personally enjoy torch more. The most important part of the build is Radience especially blind exposure (VI) and right hand strength (XI). A focus works well with this as well since it gives an additional blind.

This build also provides good support through the reduced shout cd, superior aria (II) and empowering might (VIII) in Honor. You will want to focus on crit chance to make this build the most effective.

The build works very well in PvE and sPvP i haven’t tested it out extensively in wvwvw yet.
