I probably did not play the thief at its peak of efficiency. Thats my point. Thief is easy compared to a lot of other classes. “Easy to play, hard to master” is easy to say, but what does that even mean? Are there any classes that are opposite, that are hard to play, but easy to master? What?

I doubt a class thats easy to play to begin with is any harder to master than other classes.

And about builds, sure, you can probably make a build that`s harder to play. But again, what does that prove? “Thief can be challenging to play if you really, really want it to” ?

Doesn`t change the fact that its beginner-friendly.

As to being overpowered or not, that depends on how the class performs when played really well and efficient, and then compared with other classes which are being played at their peak efficiency. Havent seen a lot of comparisons of that sort yet, suppose the game is a bit too young yet, but right now, beginner thiefs are facerolling beginners of other classes, since its easier to play.

By “beginner friendly” I mean that the learning curve isnt very steep. Just loading up a thief, taking a quick glance at the abilities and specs, and then you play thief as good as most people. Even warrior/ranger has a steeper learning curve than thief.

Not saying its overpowered, its just easier to play than other classes.

and went with the “cookie cutter” spec.

After about 1 hour, I can safely say that the thief class is, if nothing else, beginner-friendly.
