Could it be that he was running full Nomad’s (Toughness, Healing, Vitality), with guard leech and applied fortitude, and whatever food buffs (maybe lemongrass, etc), while using Defiant Stance as his secondary heal?

Map wide rewards cannot be implemented fairly. What defines ‘partaking in the task’? Perhaps a few achievements (kill 50 guards, capture 10 camps) per week? Isn’t that already what we had in the 1st WvW tournament?

Furthermore, we already get the +1 bonus chest to +3 bonus chests for placing in WvW. Asking for more rewards is good and dandy, but serverwide rewards are just hard to implement.

It would clutter the UI. It’s a good suggestion, sure but there are better ways.

I’d usually use CTRL+click to link it to my guild/team/party before we start doing stuff so that they know.

1- Skills have been retuned so that they are more in place. There is no CLEAR upset between class dueling and different classes excel in different parts (necro/guard/ele WvW, warrior/mesmer PvE). For bosses, there was a re-release of the Queen’s Gauntlet lately and it brought a plethora of hard bosses. In general, for PvE, kiting is still a pretty viable option.

2- UI customization hasn’t been touched much to my knowledge. However, I never did have a problem with it. Speaking on buffs, they’ve changed it (I believe) so that the priority is party>guild>pugs. This way, you share buffs with your party before anyone else. Just don’t have 5 guards in a party stacking might, you’re wasting buffs.

3- Each class gained a new healing skill. One class-wide healing skill was introduced as a countermeasure to conditions. Guild Wars emphasizes on it’s lack of trinity, it’d be remiss to just introduce it again. If you don’t like PvP, I guess it just isn’t for you then.

Each class gained some new traits as well, such as Guards having the ability to share their Virtue of Resolve with nearby allies – sort of a heal I guess?

Anyway, you won’t know until you’ve tried. I’ve taken breaks from GW2 and come back before. Just give it a chance, who knows, you may even like it.

We’re a pretty OK WvW community when it comes to the lower tiers. Consistently we can maybe get 2nd place. We’ve got an amazing off-prime hours team that puts us at anywhere from +300 to +500 for a few hours during NA nighttime. We got WvW guilds and roaming squads that are organized and punctual.

However, there won’t always be a commander tag up. We usually drop to maybe +180 during NA primetime, and lose our keep often when commanders aren’t present. If you wanted to command, this is a good server. There are rarely HUGE zerg fights, mostly maybe 10-30 people skirmishing. The people here are great people, and I’ve had a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, so far it’s not going to stay. As said somewhere (I can’t find it), it’ll be gone in four weeks to give Guild Wars 2 a more Living World feeling, because realistically a giant aircraft wont be docking for too long, and this is kind of like a festival. With the introduction of new content every 2 weeks, I’m sure theres going to be a lot more gold/material sinks in the future.
