Due to me moving to a new place over the past week, and not having internet up until late last night, I completely missed out on the Limited time gem store items.
I am quite bummed out by this, and I’m wondering if the wings are ever gonna make a return, or if there’s another way to get my hands on them.

If IA were to let you cross gaps and climb walls it would give you an unfair advantage over other classes in WvW and jumping puzzles, to prevent this Anet has changed the functionality of the IA so that there must be a walkable path between you and your destination, if this is not the case you will shadowstep as close as possible to your target location.
The videos you’ve seen of people using IA to gain this unfair advantage were probably from the beta.

This is not true, if you have a speed passive of 25%, and you gain swiftness, you only gain an 8% speed boost
