This worked and i’ve been trying to get it fixed with supports help for over an hour. Tried this and immediately the download started.
it seems it might be enough to rename the gw2.tmp file in your gw2 folder to gw2.exe and launch that instead (first rename the original gw2.exe to backupgw2.exe or something)
while I currently am reinstalling and can not 100% confirm yet, I now am able to do that.
This worked for me. Downloading patch now…
