First off let me say I love the Ranger class, but I would like to make a couple of suggestions to make the class a bit more interesting and group friendly.
First, I would like to remove the vulnerability from the greatsword #2 skill (maul) and replace it with a blast finisher. ( I know it’s been suggested a million times already, but I believe the main concern would be it’s synergy with healing spring and that could be adjusted with a 1 second increase in cooldown on maul)
Second, I would like to suggest the removal of the vulnerability on th longbow #2 skill (rapid fire) and turn it into a 100% projectile finisher. (Possibly attach this to the “eagle eye trait or piercing arrows trait” like the warrior longbow in addition to the vulnerability)
I believe these two changes would greatly increase the strategy and group support abilities of the ranger class as a whole.
Also, I am a bit biased as I truly love this games combo system and while there is definitely a place for the vulnerability condition I have always found it to be a bit bland and uninteresting.
Well, what do you guys think? While I’ve been playing this game since release I am definitely a “casual” gamer and could be waaay off the mark on these two changes, espesially the longbow one since I haven’t seen it mentioned before.
