Thanks Andre for such a quick ticket response and restoring my account from permanently banned status. Apparently my account was brute forced but locked before the hacker could manage to do anything.

Apparently my account was accessed by an unauthorized individual and was suspended.

I’ve changed my password and my email password, so I’m just waiting for an unban.

Banned here as well. No explanation :\.

I’m guessing it’s to prevent confusion due to the spaces or a general restriction against a pattern of spaces in attempt to keep players from avoiding the name filters by putting spaces between letters.

Reality — change your password to something unique to GW2 and something that is complex. I am worried that someone else may have access to your account. They may have accessed it and used it for something that is utterly forbidden — such as in-game advertising of RMT sites — and then gotten the account terminated.

Continue to watch for a response from the team to your ticket, because they will get back to you.

Hm, alrighty. I’ll be changing it after I post this, but I haven’t been notified about any unauthorized access from another location, nor has my security tab shown any evidence of attempted logins from other locations. Thanks for a response though, I’ll get to it immediately.

I had just finished killing and looting the Shatterer a few hours ago. After looting my last item, I was disconnected with a message something along the lines of “unacceptable behavior.”

I can’t say I’ve never swore in-game or used inappropriate words, but nothing has ever came out of my mouth that was intended to insult anyone. Plus, after reading a recent post made by GaileGray, it looks like I can conclude it was never a chat offense as it is a permanent ban rather than a three day one.

Post a screenshot of the error message that shows the message saying your account is permanently closed, or terminated. If we have an error in our messaging, we’ll fix it. If you have an error in your understanding, I hope you’ll consider my comments here and rejoin us in a few days.

Anyways, I’ve opened a ticket but would like to know what I could have been banned for (I don’t think it was any exploit either, since I’ve never knowingly exploited and even declined to help out a friend who was exploiting some instant-spawn boss).

The same thing happened to me just a few minutes ago after getting my loot from killing the Shatterer. :\. No email or anything.
