I agree 100%. Otherwise we end up with people cheating with no fear of losing the account, as seen in this video of a Yaks Bend player hacking into structures in Jade Quarry BL.

I cannot agree more! Allowing free players into WvW will destroy the community more-so than it already has been. PLEASE Anet restrict them to EOTM, or AT LEAST only allow them to join using level 80’s only and not take positions in the queue’s before those who do pay.

How toxic, misleading, vile and wrong. What a bunch of salty children these people are; laughing off how EOTM is basically PvE with little pvp interaction (which it mostly is, given the k-trains) and yet wanting to dump fresh blood into the game by restricting them THERE stating it’ll entice players to buy the full game.

Yes, dump all the would-be new guildies, players, server buddies, friends etc into a joke of a game mode.

EoTM is just the testing ground for what Anet is planning on implmenting in wvw, nothing more, and can change according to what their plans change. EoTM IS supposed to be the future of wvw. It being a Ktrain is due to it being a bad design so hopefully Anet will learn from that and make changes accordingly. EoTM is not supposed to stay the same, it being a testing ground means it is ever changing.

If they actually planned on implementing what wvw players wanted in wvw more people would play in EoTM.

+1 Totally agree. We’ve seen what happened when Anet created $20 and $10 purchases. This will just be worse with free accounts.

Reaching lvl 60 hardly takes few hours of PvE’ing thereby making trolling/griefing even a bigger problem than now it is.

I do not agree, while the door is open for abuse it’s Anet that opened that door. People shouldn’t be limited, Anet should be taking the initiative to hire some in game GM’s and take measures to control/police their decision. Stop accepting the lack of actions on Anets part and start demanding that they do their jobs.

After 3 years of little to no actual policing on their part, I think it might be easier to just have the restriction put in place for now. ANet support for WvW is currently a busy signal while they flesh out HoT thus demanding they start doing their jobs will get us nowhere IMO.

EotM can be run in multiple instances but a “normal WvW” cannot. It is absolutely possible for an enemy server to create 100 accounts on your server, logging in to your BL or anywhere and restrict your player limit. Spies exists I admit but most of the servers only have one or two topmost. Imagine if a 100 strong wvw guild decides to troll the enemy and flood their BL with f2p accounts. They do not even have to spend supply or start crap upgrades and build crap siege… Their sheer presence could kill an entire match-up because the defenders cannot log in to wvw due map limitations…

And this is bad… Really bad!

No free Acc in WvW ! We don’t need them and block queues or whatever.
The whole WvW gamemode should only be for paid member, not free user.

+1, no more to say, we have enough spy and troll. And with population restriction we don’t want to see our server going full with people who can’t speak in map chat..

If you are worried about siege trolls, they’ve been in WvW since launch!

Yes this allows there to be more spies, but they still have to level to 60 to get access to WvW and even EOTM.

So if those people are willing to waste gold craft leveling so be it, the impact it will have on real WvW will be minimal, if even noticeable as there are already spies on your server!

There is a huge difference between a spy account which cost between 10 and 20 euros and a spy account which costs you nothing….

Completely agree. This change makes no sense. EOTM was a testing zone/WvW experiment zone to begin with. Let them get access here beforehand if they want to buy the game.

I agree with the OP. EotM is enough to discover WvW.

As someone who plays almost exclusively wvw. I am highly concerned by the potential disruptive behaviour that could happen. Also allowing wvw to be accessible even only from lvl 60 will allow for upleveled individuals to take up valued space in a map and effectively sabotage server operation, whether intended or unintentional.
Since EOTM gives new players a taste of wvw without affecting the end scores i think this is a better solution. Introducing players with free accounts to a wvw server community will mean that the community often puts in effort to integrate a person or result in negative or even rejection from the community, which means that the new player will not like wvw or the game.

+1 agreeing to this. Please don’t eanable access to normal wvw maps.

I support this. Even with the lvl 60 req ( which you can obtain easily) it still leaves too much room for abuse in wvw. Restricting these accounts to EoTM ensures they will not be able to be used to que up servers without at least having to pay for it. As it is, there are many that have alts parked on enemy servers just to que the maps so that players on that server cannot get on map to defend the keeps, making this easier to do just makes that worse.

I can only say this is a joke and big mistake to give access to regular wvw for free accounts.
Good luck with a such approach to wvw.
Limiting to EOTM is the only way to fix that and do that asasp.

Best part if you restrict them to EOTM only and they like WvW they will buy the game!
