Seriously I can’t believe there isn’t more posts here about this. Cleansing burst used to instantly remove atleast SOME of the conditions I had when it fired. Now I get a 1.3k heal and zero condition removal. Does no one else have this problem? It’s such a huge nerf for my bunker spec in sPvP and is just generally annoying not having condition removal in PvE and WvW.
So cleansing burst used to be instant condition removal, when did they change it? Because as of right now it NEVER removes even a single condition for me, I just figured they broke it and it would eventually be fixed. Really getting annoying having zero condition removal without speccing alchemy for 409.
I haven’t seen it either. Stood closer too, thinking it might be a weird range issue, but no cleansing.
at least I’m not the only one with this issue, I figured something this “big” would have been all over the engi forums. Doesn’t like every single sPvP engi run it to cleanse conditions < . <?
So for the past 2 or 3 days I have been unable to get cleansing burst, the overcharge skill on healing turret, to remove ANY conditions in both sPvP and PvE. Am I going crazy or is this a new bug?
Hello guys just thought I would throw this out there. Maybe its already been suggested but what I perceive as a relatively simple fix to the empty leveling zones I see complained about semi regularly and is also at the same time a fix for guesting!
Its simple, do away with server specific zones in PvE! Make every zone an “overflow” zone. When the game first launched I was shot into a lot of overflow zones for the first few weeks. It was always packed and there was always people doing thing in the zones it was awesome. Here I sit partially afk while I write this in the middle of the Harathi Highlands Champion Modniir event. There’s barely 5 people! The final event is looking undo-able! lets refill this zones with a quick and dirty fix!
By removing the default server specific zones not only will you ensure there is always a lot of people in any given zone you also fix guesting since you can join people in their overflow but cannot join them on a server specific instance of a zone!
The problem is the exotics are easily had, everybody has said it…“its easy to get exotics in 1-2 days of getting 80”, so there was nothing to work for once you got to 80. Exotics SHOULD have been the starter set for 80’s and the ascended the next step…alas it was not. They want to give 80’s something to work for and they didnt want 3 sets to all have the same stat values. Its that easy.
You know how I know you didn’t play Guild Wars 1? Because I had a full suit of max stat gear before I even had my first level 20 (The max level in GW1) The game worked that way for 7 years. I know that in WoW and other MMOs that your used to there’s effort required to be an even playing field with everyone else.
That was always one of the magic things about Guild Wars it was never about the grinding and putting in hours to be on par with other people it was about doing things you thought were fun!
Tons of my friends will be coming back. My guild now has personal goals to progress together. We are all super excited to see what more is to come! Thank you very much for making this game better!
So wait, your friends are coming back because they can acquire 3 more pieces of gear with better stats….? Is that some kind of sick joke? They will be back for one day get all the new gear and than leave again. Meanwhile Anet has angered basically every fan of the original GW1 and is stripping away one of the few things that make the games similar, to appeal to a crowd of people who are going to leave a few days after the update until the next new round of gear comes out.
Dude. I never said anything about a stat gap. I should have been more clear. It’s a PROGRESSION gap, as in once you get full exotic you’ve got nothing left to do besides the enormous wall to legendary. That’s what they said in the blog post. And I agree, with the caveat that they don’t plan on adding any more tiers.
Like I’ve posted over and over. I understand the concern. But we don’t know anything more than basic details from a single blog post. I’m hoping the infusions are a horizontal progression and not vertical.

They already said they didn’t want gear treadmills and they are adding them. Whats to say they won’t add another tier of gear? There’s nothing its been not even 3 months and they went back on their word, why would I trust them to keep it this time?
Also if your already bored because there’s no gear progression you think you won’t be bored after you get 3 items….? Then 4 months from now you’ll get another 3 and quit for 4 months. What the hell is the point?
Don’t you think you’re being too dramatic, guys? I mean, I don’t like the vertical gear progression, but even me, a very casual player, has 3 80’s on his account with full exotics… Ascended items aren’t more than other armors that instead of using runes and jewels, uses infusion. Where’s the problem, QQ’s? (GW1)

I guarantee an ANet dev will post in the next few days and explain that NO, they said nothing about adding new equipment tiers every 6 months, and as the blog explained, they saw a need to bridge the gap between Exotic and Legendary by adding ONE new tier.
You people are going to give yourself aneurisms over nothing. Stop freaking out. Constructive feedback is great, but ya’ll are taking it too far.
Except there didn’t used to be a tier difference from exotic to legendary… sorry to completely ruin your post with some simple point…. oh wait no I’m not.

Any ETA on when this rune set will be fixed to do anything other than give power? Currently none of the proc life steals or mist form work correctly. I would like to use this set, but wouldn’t mind replacing it for the time being if I could be given back the runes somehow for later use.
Net shot is a straight attack. If they are strafing you will probably miss them unless you’re good at leading.
Check your distance too. Plenty of players are really good at dancing in and out of range limits, and your net shot looks like it goes farther than it really does sometimes.
How do you lead the net shot…? I wish I could. Also I love being OBSTRUCTED by blades of grass or watching the net shot graphic hit someone in the face and then say miss/obstructed mostly obstructed.
If all playtimes are supposed to be equal in value then why is it that one of the Region primetimes is completely pointless? Currently US primetime is completely dwarfed in value because all other region primetimes are immediately after it. Take everything during US primetime? Go to sleep, now lose it all to Euro/Oceanic Primetime and allow them to hold it for 6-8 hours before US primetime.
Without directing my post towards a specific area of the world, I fail to realise how the ‘peak’ time players cannot see that they’re being completely selfish. The Oceanic & Asian communities paid for the game as well, expecting that the WvWvW would be open 24/7 so that we could enjoy it as much as everyone else. You seem to think that your servers are being rolled during your off-peak because you don’t have numbers. Have you thought for a second that maybe your off-peak players are just really bad?
In addition to that, take the above poster I’ve quoted… he says “Take everything during US primetime? Go to sleep, now lose it all to Euro/Oceanic Primetime”… ok, so you’re taking everything during your prime time? Flip the situation around for a second. YOU, or the NA prime time, is taking EVERYTHING during OUR off-peak timezone. I’m pretty certain that what you’re doing is EXACTLY what you’re accusing the Oceanic & Euro communities of doing. You take everything during the US timezone, we take everything during the Oceanic timezone. The same. It’s pretty easy to understand.
To counteract these problems we’ve been recruiting NA guilds like crazy so develop a strong NA timezone so that we can eventually move up into Tier-1. You should be doing the same instead of expecting that your timezone becomes ‘special’ compared to the rest of them.
There’s always the option of transferring servers yourself to help an Oceanic server.
yea except you didn’t read my post at all, the Non US primetimes are worth more because after them is a large downtime of no region primetime. AKA not all playtimes are equal which is what Arenanet said.
How we’ve came to this conclusion is that no player’s time is more valuable than another.
This is the problem, the north american prime time players feel their time is completely wasted because no matter what they do, the server with the more active night/morning crew can take everything and upgrade with no resistance whatsoever. This means that anyone who plays during these “off” hours time is more valuable.
You can spend hours during primetime making little headway, taking some towers and a keep, maybe getting pushed back and then losing it all again, but the amount of points night and morning crews can gain for their server is by far more valuable.

Basically 100% true
Basic range a little bit longer, Blunderbuss a little bit farther, Overcharge shot self knockdown reduced or removed, Jump shot cast motion a little faster. Then I’m content.
I would be content with these changes, but I like most people was looking for a long range weapon originally like longbow + trait on my ranger 1500 range on all skills is nice. Yea we can get that with grenade kit but kits make us loss weapon stats (A completely different subject) and are ground targeted meaning if I actually used grenade kit all day I would hate this game and my hand would too. Oh yea did I mention barely moving at all totally negates grenades??
If they implemented the above changes so I can actually use my “burst” skills I would be content to play my Engineer the way I play her now tanky with decent damage when I can land Blunderbuss + Jump shot. I would also like a viable ranged weapon. Pistol ain’t my cup of tea (condition damage) and its not like its range is longer than rifles anyway.
