I’ll echo Grim… map completion bonuses are staggering.
Centaurs… join every event dealing with centaurs (use aoe as often as possible) and you’ll have more leather than you’ll know what to do with. Bandits are also good for leather but I get more cloth materials from them.
The first thing I did on my tailor, leatherworker and armoursmith was to refine mats. The second thing I did was to make some 8-slot bags… all this before L10. Very inexpensive to make and very easy to accumulate the mats needed. The cost of the reagents for the low side of tier 1 is also negligible.
I have to add my 2c worth here even though I’m simply parroting what’s already been said. This game is unique in many ways compared to what we have had to play in the mainstream. The personal storylines are my biggest thrill. Seeing several toons of the same race (even same class) walking completely different stories is an amazingly fresh approach to personal progression. I would sign on with anyone on a personal storyline just to “see what happens next”… yes, I’m an avid novel enthusiast as well as MMO gamer.
Don’t bother racing to endgame. Enjoy the journey. Find the hidden event switches (I’ve accidentally bumped into several). I can’t imagine running out of things to do for quite some time and have no intent to fret over that issue.
See you in game
I had this issue with the guild I created. After navigating through a couple zone barriers it finally cleared (not using waypoint zoning, travel through the shimmering portal)
