Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal.
You mean grubb’n’, not grubbing.
My vote is for 1200 Rifles. Or at the VERY least an optional trait to turn shortbows/pistols into 1200 range.
I’m leaning more towards a trait at this point in the game. Another weapon sounds very expansion pack.
Been using knight armor myself along with berserker rings and the remaining trinkets as valkyrie.
It only exists in sPvP as Knight’s Amulet.
I too have been looking for it and have been trying to find out why Knights stats in sPvP differ from the crafted Knights set, and those differ from the emerald stats as well.
Actually I think it is,
sPvP is vitality primary and precision/power as secondary.
PvE/crafted Knight’s is toughness primary and precision/power secondary.
Emerald gems are just as you said, precision primary and power/toughness secondary.
There seems to be no reason for why it is so widely varied. However in no set is power the primary. So you either end up with Precision (gems), Toughness (PvE/crafted), or Vitality (sPvP) as the primary.

Thank you for taking the time to check this out and help clear up this issue.
My confusion all starts with the sPvP Knight’s Amulet, which features Power/Precision/Vitality. However once you attempt to craft a Knight’s set of gear, you end up with Power/Precision/Toughness. Now P/P/T is found on multiple sets of dungeon armor and can be crafted. I however have yet to find a single P/P/V set in PVE or as a crafting option. Why the identical name if the stats aren’t the same? Where is my option to obtain P/P/V for WvW and PvE?
Currently I’m in the midst of trying to figure out why the spvp Knight amulet is power/precision/vitality while its crafted forms on light/medium/heavy professions appears as power/precision/toughness. I’ve been unable to locate a single dungeon set or crafted set that has those stats. What is the deal? Are they simply not an option? Why the change/misdirection?
