I hate that I have to point this out but there are people who have no clue what they are doing on every server.

Just because you got a screen shot of some one doing that it doesn’t mean those kinds of players can only be found on darkhaven.

Don’t be ridiculous. Clearly all of server X is stupid because a single person did a single stupid thing.

Also keep in mind that if one person does a glitch or hack on server X, then CLEARLY all of server X is full of hackers and glitchers. Hackers are mutually exclusive to X and don’t exist on my server, server Y, which is also clearly superior.

While we’re on the subject, if server X is winning, then they’re nothing but skilless, glitching nightcampers. If my server, Y, is winning, it’s because the other servers are bad and we have superior tactics.

My logic is infallible, don’t dare try and refute me.

Add me to those people who turning down the slider resolved this issue. With sound at the max settings, I would usually get this within seconds of the first WvW fight. Basically it was from having too much going on (Too many sounds playing at once)

That being said, I doubt we’ll get a fix any time soon since the #1 priority right now for the team is fixing the culling issues. At least there’s a temporary alleviation to this, and if you get it anyway you can always restart the game.

I would imagine that’s why it’s taking so long, and frankly that’s the way it should be.

Altruistic Healing you get healed for every boon you place on an ally includes yourself great when around groups of allies 10 allies and one boon can mean up to 880 hp to you depending on your healing stat. great when supporting clumped up groups of allies. all skills and symbols that provide boons like mace symbol of faith and greatsword symbols that give boons work with this trait. Empowering might when you crit you boon you and alies also effects this trait.
Detonate staff and shield for heals you have and many more. you do not need more vitality you just need to build for it.

Altruistic Healing is hilarious with a staff in dungeon groups.

Zealous Blade is disappointing, however.

It all depends on your build though. All in all I don’t feel shorted on heals and survivability skills that make up for our low HP, though I’m usually traited for support and generally stay out of melee range except to drop a bubble or wall.

This is assuming PvP or Dungeon groups though. Solo PvE, just grab a greatsword and nothing else really matters.

My favorite thing right now is tinfoil conspiracy theories regarding Maguuma.

Especially when many people in Maguuma have those same exact theories on other servers. Spies wasting supply and filling the queue and listening to the public mumble, secret alliances, glitch, exploits, stuff like that. It’s less outspoken on the forums, but every time I’m around and someone mentions it in map chat I usually take the time out to call them dumb.

Regarding portal bombs and stacking, I feel those are simply pretty effective strategies that has a side effect of culling. I stand that those are not exploits because when culling is fixed, everyone will still portal bomb and stack. A stack lets you mitigate AoE damage, maximize every buff cast (keep in mind the range on boon application is pretty small, so usually 5 people won’t get it), and be able to protect the maximum number of people with a single guardian skill.

Fighting against a female Sylvari boss basically sounds like fighting against a flock of seagulls.

It’s worth mentioning that we’re always looking for more commanders. All you have to do is get on voice chat, and if there’s no organization, just do it yourself. People will listen to whoever’s giving orders as long as they’re calm and confident.

We have plenty of people who have taken the reigns and have done a fantastic job, while nobody actually knows who this guy is. That is how Check McPrivilege got his start in commanding. Maguuma doesn’t care who you are, as long as you’re a chill bro.

Just chiming in, i5-2500k clocked at 4.0 GHz and GTX 460 with close to max settings and this game is smooth as silk in all but a few places (killed by draw distances…I really should turn that down). If someone has 20 FPS with a higher end machine than me then you should probably double check your troubleshooting steps.

Also people really need to not bother looking at system requirements in general. It’s pretty much an industry standard to have minimum mean “able to install” and recommended be what the minimum to actually work. Yes it’s scummy but it’s not an inclusive problem to A-Net.

e: I know it sounds silly but for god’s sake please clean the inside of your computer. You can see a 2-3 FPS increase from that alone.

Get a good bubble guardian build and your team will love you forever.

No, the other team will never get smarter, and they will always endlessly pound away at a wall of reflection killing themselves. Especially if you drop it on a door or chokepoint.

I support OPrey and I support this thread.

OPrey is an incredible commander, just like many of our others. All we lack right now are people to actually lead around.

What makes Maguuma special to me is how we do what we can with what we have. It’s not about winning WvW as a whole, just doing what we can, even if that small victory is defending a keep against endless waves.

That’s certainly what Maguuma does. I wasn’t on last night because I was ( still am) at work, but I know the night of the reset Maguuma became committed to just our home borderlands only, and actually did half decent. We held our half of the map (sans a single keep) until about 6 AM EST when everyone just kind of passed out at their keyboards and everything was lost shortly after.

Granted SoS owned everything else but we did what we could, and it was a kitten good fight.

As the nominated spokesperson of Maguuma, I want to say that we enjoy SoS’s company, sorry for being the target of the latest round of stacking, and hope you enjoy the higher tiers of combat. We just want to be your friend, stop being so mean :’(

Let’s stop playing this game where we generalize entire servers based on a small handful of individuals, and speaking on behalf of an server as an individual.

Unless, of course, you are an omnipotent God of a server. Then feel free to overgeneralize. Otherwise let’s all speak for ourselves and not eachother.

Because fixes don’t come overnight or whenever they’re ready, and if there is a fix, it still has to wait until the next content patch. I think I saw in another thread that was sometime next week, but I don’t remember.

Yes it’s a shame it was broken, but have some patience, it’s only been a few days. Code pushes are not fun, and it’s not exactly a game breaking issue.

The logic is that since SoS has the best Oceanic coverage of all servers, the only reason they’ve been losing was the lack of a NA presence. Once it was clear they the Aussies wouldn’t leave to other servers, guilds from NA went over there instead.

It’s not so much that SoS is the best, more that it can be the best. And now that their only weakness has been overcome with all the people moving over, we’re going to see a lot more coming from SoS in the future.

…until there’s a new cool server to stack on.

Just in general, I’m really tired of the over generalizations of entire servers. Oh, server xxx can’t win without glitching the orb. Right, because the actions of a single person defines the entire server, like we actually have control of individuals.

Why can’t well all be friends :’(

You guys are judging an entire server over the actions of a single person.

I, too, can overgeneralize a server made up of thousands of people based off a single individual.

I, for one, am preparing for the Alamo 2.0.

Pretty much all of those situations that you mentioned, you should NOT be clicking the “remember this IP” option anyway, making it completely moot. The only place you should ever have it remember your IP is on your own personal computers at home, just like passwords.

That being said, I, too, would like an option to delete remembered IP addresses. If it’s really that important, I think I read somewhere that using the account recovery option will reset remembered IP addresses, but that involves entering the Serial number of your game to reset all of the information. I’m not going to try it because I’m lazy.

If it makes you feel any better, the vast majority of hacking cases are going to be caused by gold farmers in Asia, and the only people who might get assigned your old IP address are people in your general area on the same ISP. If you just so happen to live in Asia then oh well!
