Snoflake, I play from Sydney and the ping is no issue, I doubt the ping will be much of an issue even for someone in Perth.

The lag doesn’t make things unresponsive, it just makes you have to act a touch before what you see, ie. don’t wait until you’re at the edge of the platform before jumping, pretend the platform is a few pixel short and jump earlier, in a double jump hit the next jump before your character lands solidly. Everything is predictable in the clock puzzle (you know if a turn or jump is coming up and exactly when) so ping is not a show stopper.

I vote for a change to transmorph everyone into the same size, but please do not make it a solo instance. Part of what made the experience so fantastic is the fact that I was doing it with others, others who are also failing, fighting and crying alongside me. Everyone was cheering everyone else on.

When I make a wrong jump the guy behind me will suggest other paths I should take, which objects to skip jumping on.

Having others there brings the whole experience to a different level.

I love this puzzle and I’ve not done any real puzzles either, the only puzzles I’ve done so far are Demon Grub and Shaman Rookery while I was leveling up. Still I managed to finish the Clock Tower in about 2 hours, every time I failed I knew exactly why (got complacent, did a stupid turn, tried something smart-that-really-wasn’t).

I finished it as a short human female in a group that has 2 norns and charr, but no one complained, everyone has tried the tower so many times together we knew each other and was cheering everyone on.

Well it’s not supposed to be something you aim to do, something that just happens naturally while playing.

And if it’s not good enough of a reward then why are you focusing on getting it if it’s time consuming lol.

You cant do that in Orr, theres like 3-4 mob varieties there. You have to pay 2s+ to go to a lower level area to finish it off. It feels like a chore to be honest. I think they should implement some system where the tasks keep stacking by x2 and you need an x amount of medals to finish it. Example: instead of killing 15 varieties of mobs, you could kill 120 mobs/240mobs and so on, collect 40/80 materials or complete 10/20/40 events. That way you could finish the task without backtracking to low level maps with a larger mob variety IF you chose to do so. Might sound like allot of grind, but trust me, i was playing for 4+ hours in Orr, and you feel real bad when you see that after completing 2 maps you still have 4-5 mob variety.

You can log onto another alt and kill a few mobs to get the kill variety (I do that anyway for the guild influence for active member). Unless all your alts are in Orr…

I used the 400 influence Letter of Commendation from the Personal Story quest but my guild did not get the influence. I was in the Lion’s Arch overflow at the time if that makes any difference.
