Oh yea also, you can just oneshot thief while he is in a stealth. Need more counterplays br0?
Oh this is a typical I want my class to faceroll more then others kind of post.
Thief are one of the most squishiest profs other there, if you give them trouble in out-of-combat mehanics you will make the class being one shoted by just looking at them.
Anet pls ignore and as for the guy who posted this;

Hi there, Reuptake here from EU Piken. I’ve got really interested into doing dungeons as I am a nooby to gw2 (coming from 7y exp in WoW).
I play a thief and would like to learn how to start of with dungeons/Arah/Fractals. I hope you’r still running this, but if you do, please land me an invite! Thanks!
If they let me couple of endpoints on their API, I would do it myself.
EDIT:
hmm, one way to do it is to apply to editorship, might do that (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2_Wiki:Requests_for_API_editorship)
I rather nobody hardcounters nobody and everyone has a fair chance to win based on skill/build, and not have an advantage based on certain class mechanics.
1. Everyone has a chance to win based on skill/build
2. Game where no one counters anyone is a straight way to completely destroying the game balance
Balance? People don’t have an idea about esports if they think the balance is the one that decides about it xD. You sound so naive by saying that. Or should I make a list of games on espots that are like x10 times more unbalanced then gw2 pvp?
Everything that has to do with esports is about the audience, the amount and the need for it. And the only thing that will make Gw2 pvp to esports is the audience itself, as more people play it, watch it and talk about it, it has more chance to get to the esports.
NOTHING else matters more then that, not even remotely close, especially not balance which is even ok compared to some games on esports.
EDIT:
Maybe balancing the game will get more audience (not even sure about that) and that way it can make it through, but balance itself is not a factor for esports.

I think theres more to it and making them transparent won’t really fix anything.
First of, nameplates should in my opinion introduce couple of features/options in pvp:
- Class Color/Mark on Nameplates: it wouldn’t really make much of skill difference but it would reduce mess and the huge mess with T to target. But it would give a more clear view whats going on in front of you.
- Ability that nameplates are not clickable or that they move away from mouse cursor: some people prefer this, not me, but I get it.
- Conditions/Boons on Nameplates: You will never know does someone have a specific condition until you target it, meaning if you do AoE condition on 3 individual targets on the ground, you would need to target them all to check if condition is there or just hope its there and keep on. I think this is crucial to have.
- Disable namplates: does this exist? If not it should, some players prefer it this way, again, not me.

I bought the heroic edition, but I don’t see anywhere “Suit of Legacy Armor”, not in bags or transmutation, or suits. Am I looking at the wrong places or is this a bug?
Thanks!
Nice to see that devs respond, no matter how long it takes. Ofcourse we would love that they are on our back doing updates every day, but thats just not that possible, maybe gw2 grows a bit more with expansion and we see more freq. updates.
Dude I taught Necros were the thing. I tried Necro and the only thing I didn’t like about it is the lack of mobility, I prefer super mobile classes (in/out-combat) which has an ability to output burst in short period of time. Since the mobility in this game is so awesome, unlike WoW, I want to you is to its full potential. Feeling like Thief is the thing for me.
Yeah, I wanted to suggest a thief. I don’t think necro is much exciting to play at the moment, it could change with the expansion, though. Condition necro was pretty fun to play, even though it lacked mobility and obviously it’s a matter of a personal opinion. But power necro is just about pressing 1 at the moment. Thief has insane mobility and burst, but it’s quite a difficult class to start pvping with. You should probably try all the different classes, it might take some time to find what you actually enjoy. The meta will probably change a lot when we have the expansion out, so have that in mind, too.
Ye I want to try to catch up as much as possible before the expansion hits, so I can wreck you all

I appreciate your honest answers. Just the fact that you answer me like this gives me hope, as if I posted the same question on WoW forums/AJ, I would probably get trolled or get some irrelevant centric answers
btw. do devs listen to complains on forums and elsewhere, or they are ignorant like in most of the games? I mean, can you recall times when they changed something which community was QQing about?

Hi guys,
I’ve been playing high end pvp on a game which you probably tried yourself, WoW. I’ve been x2 rank1 and x4 gladiator. I want to make a big leap of faith and switch my self to gw2 pvp, so I have couple of questions if you don’t mind
1. How much, or does it at all, give me an advantage the fact that I was a high end pvp player on WoW?
2. I plaid Warr, Rogue, DK on WoW. Which class gameplay/style would be to these on gw2? Which classs has the most mobility for pvp?
3. What is the most broken thing in gw2 competitive pvp?
4. Are we toxic, team? Compare “toxicness” in wow community vs. gw, anyone?
5. Who wants to be my first friend in pvp and help a m8 get into gw pvp?)
Keep in mind, maybe this this topic helps other WoW players understand the transition to gw2, thanks!
Cheers!
