Which armor stats for dungeons/pve

Thx that are some nice suggestions. I’ve been thinking and I think I’m gonna try a condition set for dungeons, with rabid armor, Nobel runes and a superior sigil of bursting and strength. Get some conditions going and stack might for yourself and the group. What do you think?

Edit: I’ve there’s another condition stacker in the group I thought I’d might take out my soldiers set for some direct damage. Gonna try the Melandru’s runes for that one!

Which armor stats for dungeons/pve

Heey all,

I’m a new engineer aspiring to make my engineer my main profession.

I’m looking to do all game contents, so Wvw,Pve, Dungeon and PvP (but gonna waith with PvP, just not really something I wanna focus on now). But I walked into a problem.

I’ve got the armor for WvW down, gonna go full Soldiers cause I wanna be a commander at some point. (So no questions here, just my preference)

But I’ve been reading posts about what armor stats are best for Dungeons/Pve. I’m looking for a armor set that’s good for both, I was thinking about conditions as we engineers have lots of skills that benefit from condition damage/duration. BUT I also wanna do things like scarlet events, where I think a focus on conditions could be counterproductive as most foes will drop in a second even before my conditions can do their jobs.

So that’s my question, which armor stats should I focus on for dungeons/Pve. (My build is 30/20/0/10/10, I tend to stack vulnerability in dungeons with nades and use Elixer gun for a bit of support but of course that changes in every situation as do my traits, weapon set mostly is pistol/shield or pistol/pistol)

Not looking for comments on a build, just which stats are found useful in dungeons and Pve. Thanks in advance for your contribution!

Some things I have already considered:
- Pve: for Pve I could just go with soldiers from my WvW set in big events as the main power stat will also make sure I tag a lot of mobs
- Dungeon: I’ve read the Beserker/rampager discussion on this forum where there was argued that berserkers benefits more from group utilities as for example the warrior flag with extra crit and crit damage.
- Dungeon: most people say a condition focus become useless pretty fast when you already have another condition focus player in the party because of condition caps
- Dungeon: When full Beserker you can drop pretty fast (especially if not experienced) so for the moment that’s also not an option

Great guide, made me reroll to ele. But while I’m bissy collecting my armor I actually don’t know what stats to get for my second armor set. I’m going for knights with celestial trinkets and stuff for main armor and I want a second set for dungeons and wvwvw (where I will probably use staff with this set).

So which prefix should I go for with the second set? Cleric, Soldiers or even something else? (Leaning towards more survival style so no Beserker)

Thx a lot!
