Champ loot: wrong solution to wrong problem

Man this mechanic has more problems than a pinto.

Seriously I don’t think there is an acceptable solution to this problem because Anet created some sort of monster. The fact that Anet has gone so far to stand out from all other mmos that in itself creates problems that are squarely unique to this mmo and this one only.

You know this is something that would never happen in a game like EQ2 or other mmos for one simple reason: You’re competing with everyone else already.
You have to complete your own quests for loot, you have find your own loot and you have to work with other people in order to get…more loot.

I think the civility in wow can certainly out-class this game’s community six ways to sundae. (pun). Just solely for the fact that you have play nice with everyone in order to get your loot seems to be a far superior incentive than what guild wars 2 “Every man for himself” motto seems to be.

What good is working together if my loot is no different from your loot off the same mob? Why should I bother completing dynamic events if my reward is less worthwhile than what a newbie at level one would get in any other game? Why should I even care if anyone likes me or not when I can just jump into anything at any time regardless and still get a sweet ride?

Now these champ chest are nothing new, nothing new at all even in the slightest. Names have been dropping master chests in mmos for DECADES. The only difference is I have absolutely no reason to care about anyone since I get mine anyway. That’s why there is the most intensive player backlash i’ve ever seen in any mmo.

Anet, you really went too far in wanting to change the face of mmos. You created a game that essentially needs nobody at all. A glorified one player game that happens to have other people in it. A game I would rather play alone because having to conceive the idea of working with other people for no good reason would be a hindrance to my own skills, ability or loot than an asset.

Yeah…..

Very WELL SAID. Enough said ANET wanted this to happen and they’re in the process of making it more worst and worst unless there are some common sense to play the game now with all of these HORRIBLE mindset towards it.

To be honest the whole concept for this game is getting narrowed by the players most of all. It’s all about farming, looting, chests and farming… it’s not about venturing and traveling where you enjoy the atmosphere and events along the way anymore.

Make this an example which is so obvious, one big group event is done and there you go " Another one is up, lets go" and everyone’s gone as if there are no more to do aside of hunting chests, loots, etc. Hence, repeat and repeat…waypoint and waypoint.

So again what’s the purpose of playing of like this? I don’t blame but it’s just not fun anymore and basically it’s so narrowed minded to have this kind of gameplay. One of the reason is to get what they want and of course that’s fine but in the end it will be the same narrowed gameplay you’re targeting at which is “Grinding”. Frankly speaking this kind of mindset is even worst than grinding…it’s just greedy and rotten.

Overall, it’s the new players that are going to get encouraged by doing this so in the end it’s gonna be the same or even just worse in terms of playing this game as it should be as Arenanet intended.

One thing i want to be sure of, is the “sure footed” in defense trait still bugged?

It’s not working as it should for “Endure Pain” and “Frenzy” where it should add 25% more duration for both of this skills sets. It worked before tho but after recent patches it didn’t.

The reason Anet gave us lots of events is not to keep farming till to the point where you just do the same farming till there’s no sense of playing the game as it should anymore. They gave us to venture and of course to have fun doing it. Also not to mention about getting on what you need (legendary etc) but still it will ruin the vibe and that depends and its up to em.

Speaking about these, players just need to relax and calm down on getting things go their way so they can gather what they need. Even worst a commander was part of the group that encouraged players to do this kinds. As for places so far i’ve witnessed in Malchor’s Leap and Curse Shore ( The Lyssa and Gates of Arah event) both by commanders.

This is just pathetic seriously… get rid of this mindset peeps.

What’s wrong with these kinds? it’s getting out of hand already. Big mobs preventing other players to finish doing an event so they can farm and get some loots especially from big Group events. This is ridiculous…even worst than botting. It’s not fun anymore and it just doesnt make any sense to play the game as it should.

These kind of mindset needs to be change or else its gonna be rot for good.
