Greetings fellow Tyrians.
So here is the thing. The last 2-3 nights after 6pm my guild members and I who are all on Virgin Media in the UK have been suddenly and abruptly disconnected from Guild Wars 2 at exactly the same time. The first night it happened I figured it was just me, then last night while while we were on team speak and killing Tequatl the Sunless another disconnect happened and every single member of my guild on Virgin Media lost connection. All other internet services remained functional.
The Login client then also lost the ability to connect, the main website became unreachable and all attempts to ping www.guildwars2.com came back with 100% packet loss and just totaly unreachable.
Then it would come back and be fine for a while until it would then drop us all again.
Ive contacted Virgin today to raise the issue with them and got back the usual Everything with our network is fine! Contact them about it! nonsense. This being despite all non Virgin Media guild members remaining in game at the moment we lost connection
I have no idea what’s going on but this was all the way from Scotland to the South and South West of England at the same time. Around 50% of the way through Tequatl during his 7:00pm GMT spawn (6:00PM European time).
Just wanted to raise this issue and make people aware so we can hopefully figure out what’s going on if this continues tonight and following nights.

In summary I just wanted to report that I can confirm that Tequatl can still bug out if you burn him hard enough after the battery defence phase during his “Stunned phase”.
Last night my organised group got the first battery defence and first stunned burn phase done without issue. Then we hit our 2nd battery defence, did that then ran back to the beach and waited for Tequatl to get shot down by the mega laser and we hit our 2nd “Stunned burn phase” where tequatl is stunned by said mega laser and you can dps him quite hard.
The bug occurred here when we did a bit too well on our dps. We burned him past his 25% remaining HP BEFORE he came out of his stun. IF you do this currently and hit the next phase BEFORE tequatl comes out of stun Tequatl bugges out and dissapears and does not trigger the next battery defence phase. This has been reported a few months ago and it looks like the bug still exsists. His HP bar is still visable and you can still damage the hp bar with AOE on the beach but nothing else. Shortly after a bone wall triggered with tequatl still missing. For those unfamiliar with tequatl at intervals of every 25% of his hp bar Tequatl flys away and you must then defend the mega laser and its power sources in order to shoot tequatl down again.
This bug ultimately can lead to failing the event when you would otherwise have succeeded and if by some fluke you do succeed as we did on this run you end up with one less dragon chest as you missed a defence phase.
Indeed it is. That’s what we did in TxS too. Killed Karka afterwards.
SO! The one time I actually get home early from work and DASH on to my PC to try to do Tequatl with TxS for the first time in ages (Because of the new spawn times) and Guess what! NOPE!
Screwed by the Mega Server. Unable to “Join in Sparkfly Fen” no matter how many times you press it. So much for joining you’re guild and friends to do guild boss attempts.
Bit of a rant so sorry about that but this game is pretty much just ruined for me now.
Ill still be on team speak warsheep. Ill try to pop on for the rare teq and wurm spawns I can actually do on days off. Since the ones that spawn during the week are no longer viable for me since I work. Thanks for that btw anet.
I have already quit playing because of it. Still no response from the developers I see. Keeping an eye on the forums.
Well this farce has gone one long enough for me. No response or acknowledgement. Already per-ordered Wildstar. Ill come back in a few months to see if anything has improved.
Well as it stands now with these boss times and the time I get out of work ill never see Tequatl The Spawnless ever again in the week. Maybe once or twice on a Sunday. Ive gone from doing tequatl fights twice a day to twice a week. Why should I continue to play gw2 now that the main thing I enjoy doing has been taken away or become extremely restricted??
A simple reply from Anet to tell us they are listening would be awesome but it seems more rare than a convenient spawn time for Tequatl.
As a trainee commander of TxS I approve of this message. This is the same thing we are trying to get across to the developers.
My experience with this is the same as Lannah. Its a shame to see a great game like this be utterly ruined in one fell swoop.
Its simple what we want.
We want either Tequatl andWurm reinstated to 2 hourly alternating rotations. Or, we want the cost to summon it be alot cheaper.
We also want some assurances we can get around 120 people on the same map from our alliance of guilds with minimum hassle.
If not then we will most likely be moving on from this game as there will be nothing left here for us. Im already getting messages from freinds about purchasing other games. Arena net your time is very limited indeed.
At least acknowledge our concerns. We want the game to continue to succeed but with the framework you just implemented on bosses and mega servers it WILL end communities like ours
Well I work during the week and traditonally when I get home I can usually do a triple trouble and 2 Tequatls. Now when I get home and online around 7pm BST (British Summer Time GMT+1) Wurm may have just started and I may get in to do it with TxS if its not full and then? Thats it! No more Tequatl spawns untill RoflOclock in the morning.
Tequatl should remain a 2 hour spawn as should Wurm.
Karka was fine as it was too and is definately not a mega boss on the level of tequatl.
I am very VERY unhappy with this change and untill we get something more sane and reasonable my wallet will from now on remain closed to the gem store. Usualy I treat myself every 2-3 months or so to around £30 worth of gems.
Maybe this game no longer is compatable with my gaming interests.
This entire issue has been utterly ignored it feels like. Even now after the patch has verified our issues. They could potentially loose alot of players over this.
Exactly. This is looking more and more like a car crash of a change. Please take note of what this boss schedule is doing to our community Anet.

Well this patch was worse than we feared. The costs to spawn it ourselves? Assuming we can get on the same map too once Mega-server hits? Too kitten high. Just to do the same thing we did before without hassle.
All the while for the same level of reward.
Greater hassle and effort in this case ACTUALLY for less rewards infact because we will not even be able to do it more than once a day.
Sorry if im sounding like im on a rant but I feel like I just lost the best game and community that I ever cared about. I think this boss schedule just killed our community.
Well there goes TxS. Glad we all said our goodbyes and fare wells monday. You just killed our community with the boss schedule and to be frankly honest the time cost and effort to spawn the bosses your self is just to high.

Thank you, Anet. Now pls give us space to gather in and some decent spawn times so we can organize for that content.
And my hope Lannah is that we can continue to do this and get 120 people+ into a map and on to team speak without unnecessary grief or issues and spawn them with reasonable costs at times to suit our needs.
This is what we want and need.
I really hope Arenanet reconsider the spawn timers. Every 2 hours is fine. What they are proposing is deeply concerning to me.

The mega-server is not going to be implemented world wide at the start no. It will be in stages. BUT, the spawn timers for the bosses IS being added. Why change Teq and Wurm from alternating every 2 hours? Its fine as it is! If its not broke do not fix it.
As for what we are hoping for? We are hoping our community remains intact with this patch and is not disjointed and fragmented, and then ultimately destroyed by it because we cannot get all 120+ of our members in teamspeak into the same map.
This covers everything that I fear about the mega-server system and large organized guilds doing fights like this.
I too would like to request a guild instance system, or a simple spawn system as Agent suggests for guilds that will allow us to spawn bosses at least twice a day without to much grief in obtaining said spawn item/token etc.
These fights are the main reason I have been logging on Guildwars since September. If the new system hinders organization like this, I will most likely walk too.
Its a dangerous time to disrupt communities like this with other games about to hit the market that may take away our attention.
Also, why can’t you keep Teq and Wurm on an alternating 2 hour spawn rotation? Its not like you cannot have only one word boss active anywhere in the world at once? As far as im concerned mega bosses like Wurm and Teq are on a whole diferent level to zerg fest level bosses like shatterer and claw of jormag.
Karka Queen? Why can’t this be left as is? We can spawn it currently when we like by doing the events. And it is by no way as far as TxS is concerned on the level of Teq and Wurm. Anyone can zerg it to death. Traditionaly its our Tequatl after party but with the proposed changes it will spawn hours away after Teq
I fear this as well. We have had griefers in the past but what does the future hold with mega servers?
Trainee commander here for TxS. All I can say is that I see why Anet are doing this but I am concerned on many fronts about this.
Firstly, when you have 130-140+ of your members turn up to do wurm and tequatl how the hell are you going to gaurentee that all of them or at least most of them can get into the same shard/instance/overflow? Gueating on a server you know that there is space will no longer work. Also there is the problem that our members are all from diferent servers and in our case with TxS all natively speak diferent languages and will be segregated because of these reasons by the algorithm.
Secondly, as others have said how, when all most of us in the TxS and TTS community’s only ever do these bosses are we going to get the merits etc together to summon them at our convenience? Assuming we can even get into the same instance? We neither have the time as commanders nor want to do guild missions etc.
These changes look like that at the moment it will utterly and completely OBLITERATE our two large communities and will for me END one of the most fun and awesome online gaming experienceces I have had in a long long time. I love guild wars 2 because of these encounters and the friendships and community’s that have formed as a result but if these changes do what I fear they will do then for us at least all will be lost.
If that happens I think I speak for all of us here when I say “ill be done.” Nothing else will measure up to playing with people like TxS and TTS. And then kills of Teq and Wurm will become mostly confined to history or the odd very rare occurance.
Please Arena Net, do not do this to us. We risk loosing far more than we could gain and at present feel like our concerns are not being heard.

Check the data yourselves. Acording to gw2spidey in the past 2 weeks supply has nosedived and costs have gone into orbit. Not fun for me personaly needing 750 for bifrost.
