I wish more people would jump in with you guys. I think combining some of the low WvW population servers into one team would work amazingly.

But even just giving incentives for playing in low pop WvW ranks would be great. Like how about adding to the unmanned buff?
- make siege cost 33% less supply
- give 3,300 more HP
- give a damage bonus of 1% / person near you (in most cases it would end up with like +15% damage)

Giving the under dogs more HP and Dmg would be fair in my opinion. Because there’s no way they can compete 10ppl vs 60 without some serious hardcore tactics.

Transcendent Veneration is on Tarnished Coast, we have over 400 members now and anywhere between 30-100 members active 24/7. We currently have a strong presence in WvW and are continuing to grow there as a guild. Generally you will see 10+ TV members in WvW. We are a PvX guild and have lots of friendly people that enjoy doing anything in the game. The leaders of TV are family oriented as well(quite a few are husband / wife duo’s playing together), we had to remove a couple individual’s after asking them not to bring up tabu topics in guild chat. We have a vent server setup for the guild to use also if that’s something important to you.

Just gotta say it’s been a great week. CD well done you guys earned your 1st place victory. DB sorry that you’ve lost % of your WvW players, started out real strong but haven’t seen much of you guys. I think all of our servers have acted honorably for the most part. CD, gotta say thanks for doing the jump puzzle in peace. Lol I have a horrible enough time trying to get to the top without someone knocking me down, I do that well enough on my own. Looking forward to playing you both again, hopefully we’ll get more commanders on the field’s for TC and establish somewhat of a night presence. Not to say that our commanders haven’t done an outstanding job though! TC has had a commander all day it seemed when I played.

Siege Weapons Despawn when you leave WvW?

Well the main reason to despawn all the siege is probably to reduce the amount of units in the map to load up. So, instead of despawning the siege how about an inactive site? Something a lot smaller than the current render’s>? Then when you come back to the siege you just interact with it and it replaces the nothing inactive siege with the real deal again. Then it solves both our problem and Anet’s problem with having too much stuff loaded into the map at once.

Maybe just something processed by the GPU? No real idea how it all technically works but I"m pretty certain they are despawning so that the map will still work and not be flooded by 1000’s of siege sitting around doing nothing.

Edit: I agree with the above posters. Siege is for defense just as much as it is for offense….. Case in point Oil on the walls, mortar, and cannons.

Man last night was a great battle. We on TC in EB started blasting DB off the map. We held Durios, Brav and Dragonbrand Valley(wrong name maybe). We were also pushing on CD territory bit by bit at the same time. We then slowly proceeded to bash in Langor and QL, DB didn’t even put up a fight for it. (To be fair CD was smashing DB from the QL side at the same time we were taking DB Valley) But eventually we pushed both sides out for a while.

Then out of no where CD shows up with a huge zerg of I want to say at least 50 players and starts train wrecking DB Valley. Suddenly we were defending DB territory from both DB and CD zerg’s. I’ve no idea why but CD saved that land from our graps, I think we could have held that most of the night. CD ended up pushing us back into Ogrewatch, meanwhile DB reclaimed all of their stuff right behind them….

Maybe this is a big CD strategy? Make sure one side doesn’t capture too much so the other team can help them maintain control of the map, not sure. Either way it was a pretty brutal fight…. lol minus not being able to see any of the players slinging aoe on me like mad.

I think there should be a cost put in with transferring, if people want to transfer just for being able to jump in with higher ranked servers then I believe Anet could stand to make a hefty profit, also I think it would serve as a deterrence somewhat. The server’s are never going to be balanced and settled into at the rate we are going because everyone is going to server hop to get into the best ranks.

At the very least I think they should put an 16 day cool down on being able to transfer if they don’t instate a charge for it. 16 days would stop people from being able to jump back to wherever they were originally. A month might really be more reasonable. It would make people stop making rash decisions about where to move to.

Adding to this…. the people that are transferring to the “best” servers are only doing themselves and the server a disfavor. They aren’t going to get to play as much because of que’s, the people that have been fighting the whole time and know what’s actually going on aren’t going to be in the battle’s. Because now there’s a line 3 miles long to in, so all the new people that don’t know the strategies that have been in place for weeks are just going to help the server lose IMO.

Yup unless they make the gate impenetrable on both sides then I say the catapult is fair game. Also they can be fired about the door and over walls to stop siege being built, so they are not exclusively for stopping ram drops.

What would really be amazing is if we could pull in about 30 night owls / oceanic players that were interested in helping run WvW! Come on you know you’re out there, searching for the perfect spot to be, why not here? I think 2 more days left for our final guild upgrade, then we’ll be rolling nothing but bonuses. =)~

I can also confirm that this has been like this since day 1. My husband and I switched accounts around because of HoM rewards.(He gave them to me ^^) But while we were switching around the PW’s and emails…. There was never anything to confirm the switch and we both went uhhhh I don’t think that they mean this system to be like this? So we both thought they were just working on it and had implemented their secure system.

I really can not believe that it’s not in place yet. My heart felt condolences go out to all of you that have been a victim. And here’s hoping that everyone has slammed their head on the keyboard a couple times to generate new passwords that have no meaning!
