I was on a map where we took down Mordremoth in two burns. When his health bar went to 0, he completely disappeared. We all thought we finished it which was usually the case when we’ve done this meta-event before. We waited for his death cinematic to trigger but nothing appeared. Instead, events continued to spawn such as “Destroy the vines consuming the ley energy on the islands” (or something like that). Then the Champions appeared (axemaster, blademaster, stavemaster). Eventually the vines consumed most of the ley energy and then we failed to kill the champions because most people stood around thinking the meta-event was done (which is usually the case when Mordemoth is defeated). Again, these events appeared AFTER Mordemoth was defeated and his death cinematic never triggered.
Pretty frustrating after going through 2 hours of work through Dragon Stand and defeating Mordremoth only to “fail” it on such a ridiculous bug.

The healing signet active could be a 3 second block with no heal. This would allow a warrior to use it effectively in an emergency but he would have to wait until the signet recharges to heal again through the passive.
Change it so when it procs you simply stealth but you lose the ability to use your weapon skills for the duration of the stealth. This will prevent you from accidentally activating ‘revealed’ while this procs in a fight.
I usually read in the pvp forums how new players get trashtalked for making a mistake or entering soloque immediately when you’re a beginner, I’m a 100% against this since everyone started some where, also that’s why there is a matchmaking system, so new players don’t get put up with more experienced ones.
However.. It seems like pve is no different. I’ve been playing Gw2 since beta we1. Always enjoyed pvp more then pve since I like the idea of being competitive and beating other players with no gear advantage, purely skill. Now, the past few days I’ve been trying out pve, obviously I tried to find party’s to try out a dungeon.. I’m a level 80 elementalist with full exotic gear and ascended trinkets, just this past hour. every time I asked people to willingly explain me the dungeon they kicked me.
I actually have plently of experience on how to play my character I’m just asking for some information how the dungeon is and what I can expect. All it takes is like 5 minutes of explaining and I’m on my way.
It’s honestly no surprise why new players on gw2 just turn the game down and try something else with a community like this. Maybe I’ve been unlucky, I’ll try out some more parties and see how it goes. If it doesn’t work out, oh well, back to some pvp action I guess.
Hey! I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been running into these elitist parties. As far as dungeons go don’t be afraid to just go in and give it a shot. There are only a few instances where some areas need explaining. The rest just involves avoiding AoE rings and attacks. A tactic people like to use is stacking against an object or wall to keep mobs together and area heals easier to maintain. So when you see a group together just stack with them. With decent groups you’ll find that most dungeons are actually quite easy which make them a good source of income for most people.
Finally, I will gladly show you the paths if you want a go at them. I do a set of various paths daily so feel free to add me and message my character Clawfire when you see me online!
I’m having trouble with this as well. Before 12/10 patch I use to run 0/30/0/30/10. I LOVE the 30 in Air for Fresh Air. The 10 in Arcana was obviously for Elemental Attunement. Now I have to trait 10 MORE into Arcana for it. I’m not sure if I should give up on Fresh Air, Elemenetal Attunement or the 30 in Water.
I don’t recall seeing a giant glowy ball of light after defeating the boss. Our party was still running around trying to avoid the disappearing platforms AFTER the boss was dead. Me and another person found that the spot where the boss was at (surrounded by an opaque hexagon wall) was safe but we couldn’t figure out how to get off the entire platform. When some of my party members fell through the platform they tried to relog to revive but they were stuck in the Mistlock observatory when they tried to go into the middle to get back to the map. I’m assuming they couldn’t return because the story mode was finished yet there was no dialogue or confirmation for those still in the reactor.

Good thing I waited to make the T3 cultural armor for my Human Elementalist. Now I can buy it from the Gem store for less money! And it comes with flames!! TY ANet!!!
In the west room were you get burned to death, there are walls with green and red bars across (red meaning it is missing a cooling rod). The first wall is on your immediate left, the other wall for the cooling rod is further down the room.
After defeating the last boss on the platform of the Thaumanova Reactor, there were large explosions all around me. Our party stood around for minutes wondering what to do while pieces of the the platform continued to disappear. There was no option or popup screen to take our party back to the observatory. This has happened to me twice with 2 different parties. Whenever I approach the Mistlock Observatory portal from Lions Arch I only get the option to do the story mode even though I’ve killed the boss twice. I’m eager to try the new Fractals but I’m stuck repeating the story.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?
And here I thought I was the only one! I also finished 5 with no chest icon. Changed map, nothing. Logged off and back in, nothing. I tried doing more achievements so I was up to 7/5 dailies completed and still nothing.
I agree that WvWvW should be removed from 100% Map Completion. What makes no sense to me is that Dungeons, amongst other things, do NOT count for 100% Map Completion yet WvWvW does. Coming from a server with a WvWvW population density severely outmatched by a rival server makes it near impossible to capture their towers on their borderland and in EB.
