I’ll say no with the reasoning of descrimination. Elites would be all over this, and no new/poor players would be able to do a lot of content. I prefer it the way it is now; I can go do any dungeon with rare gear on and still haul some power with me.
I’d agree if there were any dungeons in this game that were actually hard. You don’t need good gear to play them, everybody knows this and wouldn’t start caring just because gear is visible. If somebody denied you a spot because you didn’t have good enough gear, you probably don’t want to party with them anyway. The option to disable is used in other mmos and is effective for people who for whatever reason, want to hide their gear.
- Add target to target option (good for PvP and PvE).
- I want to see HP of mobs as numbers eq mob has 1987hp/1987 and also in %.
- Option to see own name and HP bar
- Option to customize own UI
- Max camera distance is to close to character
- End game content… a lot of people get bored already after they hit max lvl. We need RAIDS with strategy and not zerking another dragon.
- Lower ques to WvWvW, idk how but this problem is at the same lvl as late loading of characters on WvWvW.
- DUELS! I dont even understand why there is no duel option!!
- Inspect players!
- Preview build of another player
These are great suggestions. I’m still surprised there are no duels and that you cannot inspect people’s gear.
At times I wish this was in the game, but I do feel it would add discrimination in the game. That’s just me talking from past experiences in other games. I wouldn’t mind it being in the game or not.
I agree that it could add discrimination. But I also think it could add praise. People get to see the cool stuff you’ve worked so hard to get! With the absence of addons in this game, I don’t see a huge risk of some sort of gear-score system for partying. Dungeons aren’t very “gear dependent” in this game anyway, and I don’t think gear/item visibility would suddenly initiate this.
Hey everybody at ArenaNet! First off I want to thank you for such a great game, it really is everything I’d hoped for and more. I wanted to add a suggestion for the future to allow players to inspect other players’ gear. I don’t want this for the purpose of a “gear score” or some means of discrimination. I want it because the game has very cool gear, and I’d like to be able to see what people are wearing and what kinds of runes/gems/customization people use. It just makes things more fun, especially during downtime.
