Guild Wars 2

So I previously had this error,I would try to log in and there would be a splash page that came up on my launcher telling me the client couldn’t connect to the log in server.After some fast and friendly help from the support team I eventually managed to fix this by getting a friend’s back up of the client and running that.Now I am having the same issue again,and this time I’m not only unable to log in but the launcher is not updating the game either.My client says it is on build:27495,and the friend I got the client from last time says there was an update today,but my launcher shows absolutely NO update activity.

I have tried a repair and changing the port as advised by the tech team last time.

(getting the client from my friend again IS a possibility but he doesn’t exactly live nearby so I would prefer a fix that doesn’t involve all that travel)

In the update notes for the 10th of December,one of the lines reads:

Arcane III – Arcane Retribution. Moved to Master tier. Decreased cooldown 90s to kitten .

What length of time is a kitten exactly?I just read the notes today and a search of the forums with the keyword “kitten” yields no results that are pertinent to this topic,so is this a gaming term I’ve never heard of,or did no-one else notice the cat?

I ask because I play an ele and this is an update that may affect my build.

Last night 11/17/13 my friend and guild mate was permanently banned. His account name is Thorak.1679. He has sent in a ticket, number is 84876. It said that he had been banned for botting.
As many members of our guild can attest he does not use bots to play,we know this as he is logged in to TeamSpeak3 and actively talking to us during play.
If it could help our guild can document that he was physically playing and not using a bot through personal accounts and screenshots of conversation and interactions.
