Crimson Plateau JP Bug for Part III.

It seems like there are a lot of people needlessly stuck on this part of the collection for Part III. From what they say if someone goes and tries to get credit for the collection the area bugs out for 10 mins + and everyone then has to sit around on a ledge and wait and hope that 1) no one jumps down or 2) that someone selfishly re spawns to see if they can get credit and if not reset timer and log off. This is inconvenient please fix it.

There’s a guy here who said hes been camping for 5+ hours and has not been able to get it.

I know I could wait till next season, but I really don’t want to PVP anymore when it involves PIP. It removes the whole enjoyment of PVP and playing the classes I play (main: Thief, alts: druid/warrior) it is just frustrating as solo-queue and I don’t really play with others (which is my downfall in PVP) so I just want to get to diamond and hopefully get the wings and not play ranked with the pressure of having to get PIP. Frustration and burn out has led me to not give a kitten about 1000g.

I am tired of PVP and since my main is a thief and my alt is a warrior, I am getting burnt out on this game. I simply want to cheese my way out of Ruby. I have gone as far as t3 in Ruby, this season and last, but alas, that is my skill-level. I am willing to depart with 1000g for a team that will help take me to Diamond. Hit me up in-game. This is no troll, I just want to get these wings and not touch ranked for a while, maybe until they release the new wings. Maybe by that point warrior and thief will be playable by the masses and not just by pro-leetzors, e-sports high-browers.

Admittedly, I only sPVP, so yes I am a noob, but regardless, are conditions and AOE as dominating at higher level PVP as they are in the lower levels? In my opinion, there are too many classes who can simply drop stuff on the ground and forget about it, very little skill. Sure you can dodge through it (AOE), but the amount that can be put out is simply off-putting.

As far as condi is concerned, is it as OP as it seems? Is this ANET’s plan to force teams to use healing classes to cleanse conditions? That’s the only reasonable explanation I can come up with. If this is the case, it seems like ANET is strictly catering to their uber competitive E-sport crowd, which is fine I guess, but the masses are what pay the bills and barely anyone runs healing support comps to cleanse teamates in sPVP, therefore condi necros, condi mesmers, condi revs, etc. feeling so overpowering. I’ve met SEVERAL necromancers, with whom I have chatted, that laugh at how easy and blatanly OP condi necro is. Some even admitted to not having played necro before and just rolled it “to get PIPs”. Condi-mesmer is at least a bit harder to play, but the pain put it is just the same and in some cases more.

What are your thoughts? Again, I am a normal player (probably a bad lol), but just wanted to express my opinion and frustrations.

So is anyone gonna post a solution here or just keep telling us to report the issue. I have been lagging hard now for two weeks. All I do is PVP on a thief and it in unplayable. Rubberbanding everywhere. Where the kitten is ANET support in this thread? No reassurances. I live in Ft. Lauderdale and am getting bent over with lag. Someone say something remotely useful. I hate to be a douhe, but I do not see any solutions anywhere. Please message me in-game if you have any solutions or post it on the forums to help those with problems. I attached pingplotter for one match. Although that match was not too bad. I has been horrible the last couple weeks. HELP!

Lol. This new matchmaking sucks. Seems like it was made to keep the high rated players from leaving the game since they probably had long queues. Now a scrub like myself is just matched against high rated players and are getting ROFLSTOMPED. I rather wait 5 mins and get a balanced match then get 30 sec queues and lost 8 of last 10 like I have been doing in one-sided matches. Oh well….sigh….

Date of January balance patch?

At this point? I highly doubt they will really “balance” anything. Their balance patch occurred when they nerfed revs and bunker mesmers. At this point, I see the game staying relatively the same for the next 3 years. When that next expansion comes then maybe they’ll rebalance and warriors and thieves will be balanced to other classes.

I know “constructive advice” is the word of the day, but I am just not happy with this weaker-than-Sword/Dagger specc. Seeing that no-one is even streaming Daredevil really shows you how well received this specc is. One ill-timed dodge and you’re dead. The class has not changed since it was nerfed to hell on June 23rd. I know my post may be deleted, but I don’t care, ban me if you like, but I would like my $100.00 back. Maybe it’s time to go try Heavensward.

Karl. I know the extra distance (450)in Dash is helpful in certain areas, but I preferred the 300 distance on Dash. Not being able to use Shadow Refuge defensively because we can’t dodge in it is huge in my opinion (barring some crazy positioning). Thank you for your work and for the communication, but I will not playing Staff and most likely will not be using Daredevil. It seems like you are trying to get us away from using stealth, while granting other classes more access to it (which I think is fair), but I am not happy with the changes and wish you well with your job because I know that it is a tough one.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, Dash’s 10 sec swiftness is not increased by 30% to 13 secs with Superior Rune of the Pack in PVP. Would be nice if it worked properly, especially since Pack runes are one of the most popular sets. Also, I noticed that Pack runes were not included in the Beta runes sets provided. Please provide these for next test for testing in PVE. I personally use them for all game modes since they are so versatile and the group buff works well in all game modes (if not one shot in PVE, LOL!)

Also, please make Vault + Steal work say like Cloak and Dagger + Steal work well together.

It would be awesome if Dust Strike created a mini Smoke Screen that could serve multiple purposes, such as a defensive option for group play and most importantly, a viable way to allow Staff access to stealth.

In my opinion, Vault is a little expensive for just damage and the damage is not even amazing. Yes, people worry about thief’s spamming it, but even the guy at POI mentioned last week that it would be 5 Initiative instead of 6. If kept at six, then it should also provide a dodge and like many other skills for staff, it needs to be sped up since it is easily dodge-able.

My current constructive criticism of Staff is that I would use the Daredevil trait line for S/D and not staff, since S/D does the things staff is intended to do much better (i.e. being dodgy).

The range of Weakening Charge needs to be increased and honestly it should have a dodge mechanic built in similar to the warrior and ranger charge skills on great sword.

Like many have said, the staff skills feel clunky and I just feel like I am more open to CC than I am with S/D or even D/P. Including dodge mechanics within the skills already in place would go a long way into making Staff feel like an option in a sustain fight.

Staff seems like a +1 weapon set and I was hoping for something that would allow us to stay in the fight. Maybe its a L2P issue, but I’ve been at it for two days and it just does not work well. We have too low a health pool and we are open to attacks most of the time while in staff with no real option to gain stealth. I hope for the best during the next BWE.
