Hey guys, attempting to build my reaper for PvE and wondering from a contribution to the group and DPS standpoint which direction would be best to build through, a hybrid of power/condi or straight power or condi setup. Gear, traits and utilities would be much appreciated!

Hey guys, returning back to the game after a few months off and just wondering if anyone could help me figuring out a decent PvE build, mostly for fractals and the new areas in HoT. Any help would be much appreciated, you could even share your WvW or PvP builds as well if you like.

Thanks for the help, ideally I would swap to staff when I’m zerging to stay on the mid/back line. I will try squeeze a little bit more precision out of the build

Hi there, as the title states I’m interested in joining a close knit, small to medium sized guild. I’m open to suggestions but what I’m looking for is a nice and friendly community that I can game with and be heavily involved through communications like TS3 of something along those lines. I have multiple 80s on my account and I’m mainly focused on the WvW side of things, however enjoy running dungeons and such. Hey as a new 80 mesmer I was wondering what the best setup or optimal setup for dungeons would be? If anyone would like to share theirs or their experiences that would be great! I feel Snaff’s Golem Emporium [SNAF] would be a great fit for you. We offer many aspects of the game such as Open world content/boss groups, dungeon groups and also WvW. However, most importantly we offer a great community to be involved in and an environment that supports and helps out newcomers as much as we can!

Hey there, after putting off experiencing Arah dungeon for a while now, I have decided its time to play it Normally I would either just find a group and learn from there or party with my guild. However, as I main a necro i find it hard to firstly find a group that accepts more than a zerker melee class, but to then find a group willing to teach a newcomer. So was just wondering if anyone would be nice enough to help teach me Arah’s dungeon? I am willing to gear up and level to max my warrior if needed, thanks

Hey, after searching the forums for builds that will suit me and having no success, I thought I would ask for any builds people would like to share that they may use in either WvW roaming or zerging, as I would like builds for both.

As for a roaming build, I dont have a preference whether its a condi or power build.
As for a zerging build, I have run a wellomancer build in the past and found that to work well, as it has been sometime since ive played though it would be awesome to have a look at some more builds alike

Once reached level 80 I enjoy lots of WvW but also the PvE side of things. It’s not really getting tired of the weaponset, its more the fact that im forced to stay with it as the rest of your options are barely viable and effective

Wouldn’t that get boring? Using the same weapon set over and over?

After trying all professions I haven’t found a class I fully enjoy, including things like playstyle and appearance. Theres things I like about nearly all of the classes but not enough in just one to be able to stick with it. Here’s some experiences..
Guardian – support was pretty fun, im looking for some support in a class but for guardian, a little too much support with not enough power behind it, playstyle was alright.
Ranger – Versatile but boring to play, got it to level 58 and had enough
Warrior – Again, lots of versatility but i knew this class would of bored me.
Ele – I do enjoy this class nearly the most but theres something about it that restricts me from wanting to keep playing it.
Necro – Enjoyed at first but seemed a bit the same as I went along.
I have tried the rest of the professions and pretty much too them out already.
I guess im basically looking for a decent support class that has the damage output to back it up. Any help/advice would be amazing thanks

That is a benefit the necro doesn’t really have too much, just that point there is starting to lead me in the direction of the ele because I am looking for a bit of versatility, and adds to the fun. An ele’s suvivability has a lot to do with learning the class as well so maybe as i play more ill become better at staying alive

Hey I have sorted through the professions to decide I want to play one of these as my main character. I have always liked the playstyle of the ele, it being my first character i chose to make however im having trouble surviving even building with toughness. I do enjoy necro also and finding it a lot easier to survive but i do enjoy the damage output by the ele compared to necro. Anyway, what I guess im looking for is a bit of advice/help or even your own personal experiences to maybe persuade me either direction. thank you

Thanks for the replies guys, you are right, I am pretty damage orientated past experiences in games have left me wanting to help others however I don’t want to sacrifice my damage if to do so.
Engineer has never really appealed to me, im not really too interested in the guns/kits playstyle.

Hey, have been playing the game since launch and im yet to find the class I want to stick with through to level 80. Ideally im looking for a class that gives a viable range option at least and is pretty enjoyable to play. Heres the classes ive tried, contemplating over..
Warrior – I like its weapon options however I feel this class is overplayed currently and may look to get a little boring and repetitive later on.
Guardian – This class seems fun however I haven’t been able to find the damage to compare with other classes apart from running a glass cannon build, the lack of range is also something driving me away.
Ranger – I currently have a 5x ranger however is quite boring now and im also over the whole pet concept.
Thief – I didn’t really enjoy the playstyle of this class and couldn’t really play it very well resulting in a few deaths early on.
Elementalist – I like the idea of this class however being so squishy and currently not great at this class yet is making gameplay a bit hard.
Necromancer – Was fun however im not sure if I like the playstyle of this class.
Ill also add that im more focused on PvE rather than PvP Thanks
