I was for hours on VB and i was 200% participation and almost ready to get t4 reward. Then i got dc just before we kill matriach, and when i log back in i was t1 and 0% participation…. this is bs big time!

A-net u are so unfair… whats the point of playing when crap like that happens? All this time for nothing?

Great game… so much fun….

Trolling in GW2

Recently I was trolled by a player named [[REDACTED NAME]], he kicked me off a frac party 1 sec before i was revived and loot the boss chest.

So firstly beware of that troll, and secondly Anet should add a feature where players are immune to kick until they have looted the chests.

This is really unfair, and trolls like that ruin the whole game experience…

Maybe add a new report category “Troll”, and if a player gets too many troll reports his name should be red or something, so everyone will know!

Cheers!

I realized that the issue occur only when I move forward with keyboard (w), if I press left and right mouse button to move, as soon as i let go my character stops.

I think it must be keyboard lag or something, anyone got a solution?

I’ve been having this issue, where my character keeps moving forward after walking for a few seconds as if I have pressed auto-walk. And the most annoying part is, pressing any button wont stop it!

If you have a solution, please let me know!

Living world needs to stop

As an idea it is good, but when you put it in to action is actually very bad… And I am not saying that, the numbers of players that are declining are.

Instead of adding temporary content and make the game like a movie, add more and PERMANENT content: more things to do, epic RAIDS, much more achievments, more hidden areas to explore, more armors and weapons, ->LOTS OF MOUNTS<-, and of course more skill options (if you could just copy paste GW1 skills it’ll be great!).

You tried your best to make a game that will be very different from wow, instead of focusing on guild wars 1… I am not having fun anymore on this game, because there is nothing to do! PvP is just bad, there are no mounts to unlock, no cool new items, no crazy skill combinations to figure out.

Stop trying to be different from wow, stop that living world failure, focus more on GW1 aspects and how you will implement them in GW2… I wan to see Cantha and Elona added to GW2. Crystal desert is not opened yet, the ring of fire is absent, and most importantly Fissue of woe and the underworld are not in the game yet! You also need to add the Ritualist class in to the game, since it was the best class in any MMO so far!

So, what do you think? Am I right or no?

Not enough skills!

In Guild Wars 1 you had a huge amount of skills on your disposal, unfortunately GW2 is really poor on skills.

Every character has only 3 elite ( plus 3 useless common ), and aside that they are not that useful… You should add many skills for every class, and you should add quests in order to get them, or Signet Of capture, like GW1 it was sooo much fun!

And weapon skills are so bad, you cant arrange them in the order you want, and they dont give you many options. Every weapon (main or off) should have many skills, and you may choose those that suit you the best, like you choose from the right side.

When it comes to utility skills (right side ) , I can say thy are really bad! I barely use them… At the end just copy the skills from GW1 in to GW2.

Mesmers dont have conjure phantasm, no echo! Necromancer dont have Spiteful Spirit, Toxic chill, spoil victor! And I imagine people that play other classes may feel the same disappointment!

Looks like people are still missing the point. Guild wars is indeed a very nice game, the world is amazing the exploration by it self is also cool..

But after a month its BORING! I understand that Arena net wans to create a unique experience, so the players feel challenge in any place, either its a lvl 1 or lvl 80 area.

This is a GREAT idea, I agree… But after a while its getting really really boooooring… At a point i dont wan to face a challenge anywhere in the map. I just wan my efforts for lvling and gathering all that gear to count for something, and have something more to do rather than exploring.

According to PvP:
Some battle grounds would be cool, because the distances in WvW are insanely wide and most of the time you walk instead of fighting. Having to pvp in the same area over and over, eventually will become boring as hell. Random arenas were a good idea, but should have more player modes and different settings, ex. capture the flag, kill the Boss, resource control, opponent annihilation etc. etc….

The point of raids and raid bosses give you a VERY GOOD REASON to gear up. Otherwise there is no point of lvling and gearing since from lvl 8 i can fight huge bosses! The hole idea of gearing is to be strong enough so you can stand in the MOST epic experience online games have to offer, raids.

if anyone can fight bosses out as events, why do people need to gear up and go to raids. it will be the exact same thing…. and after a couple of months you will realize this lacks of purpose…

Now for the casuals, they will gear up for sure, just much slower than someone that plays more than them. And in pvp they shouldnt be able to compete with people that have much more play time and better gear than them. No pain no gain.

If my efforts really count for nothing, i dont see a point of playing this game, its like i am playing dead space online or something…. after a month i am bored of it and i wan a new game!

The reason why i compare it with WoW is because wow managed to stay alive a loooong time! even its graphics are sooo outdated, the majority of gamers are still on this game because it gives a PURPOSE! I would like to see the same thing on Guild wars 2.

ArenaNet, if you ever read my post PLEASE consider to do something about it! This game really has the potential to be the best MMO!

i miss gw1 heroes, and btw they never ever were able to do better than a real player that was always welcome in a party. but the presence of heroes was very useful during exploration and story mode. i loved that feature in gw1.
i could actually play an elementalist if they added heroes in gw2 (i’m that noob with elementalist i can die in queensdale)

Yeah, and you could build them in any way you wan and come up with a really good combo. I really think heroes should be added in the game. I loved the necro/rt combo!

For those that obviously dont understand what they are reading and keep saying this is a social game bla bla bla… If you dont wan to use heroes and wan to use other players, then go play with others, no one is forcing you to use them.

Maybe I, along with a couple buddies of mine, we wan to use heroes and go through dungeons and some world events just like we did in Guild Wars 1. Maybe some times i dont wan to play with other people, and i wan to go through the story, or a dungeon story by my self… Because its online it doesnt mean you have to be with others all the time. When a game is forcing you to get a party and/or joining a guild it doesn’t last long… You should have the option to do things on your own if you wan.

And btw…. Find more players or find a better guild are cheap dumb answers. Dont play multiplayer games is even more dumb answer… This is NOT the purpose of making this post. So if you have nothing different to say, please dont reply.

P.S. I prefear to pay a monthly fee and have an epic gaming experience like World of Warcraft, than play for free and get bored in a month.

If we’re just too casual for you, well… bye.

You are leaving? Bye, I won’t miss you

btw, a monthly fee is both beneficial for company and players. They get more profit, we get more content and this is undisputed.

*If you like gear progression… this game isn’t for you
*If you like playing a certain role in trinity… this game isn’t for you
*If you like raids… this game isn’t for you
*If you like mounts… this game isn’t for you
*If you like amateur pvp with different modes… this game isn’t for you
*If you like semi-amateur pvp with ladders etc like wow… this game isn’t for you
*If you like pro-pvp like moba… this game isn’t for you
*If you like real open world pvp… this game isn’t for you
*Most importantly if you like to have a goal… this game isn’t for you

‘this game isn’t for you’ is a common reply to many posts and it is sadly and actually a true reply for the most posts. I really believe that devs prepared this game for a really specific(even unique) type of a player base.

I can say you have a point there. Guild wars is a nice game in general, I like the exploration and the story, but i feel that they are not enough to keep me on game for a long time.

This game needs some cool dragon mounts, much more dungeons and much more varieties in pvp.

The gear also needs to count some more. What is the point of getting a good gear if it doesnt make me stronger? And what is the point of lvling if my lvl keeps dropping down?

soft – core players may not enjoy your ideas, since they dont have enough time to play, they will be ravaged by hard&medium-core players. But since hard&medium-core players are the main income of games AND the majority, game should be focused more on them, and less on the low core’s

I have been playing for around a month, and I started to getting bored already! I am lvl 80 with 80lvl rare armor and weapons and I cannot solo 75lvl events. I hate wasting my time looking for party, be the same with someone thats 30 lvls lower than me, and most of all i dont like the lack of purpose.

This game is really good, please look after it. Focus more on the Hard-core gamers, make your efforts and your time spend for gear and weapons worth!

P.S. I prefear to pay a monthly fee and have an epic gaming experience like World of Warcraft, than play for free and get bored in a month.

Its nice you are trying to create a social game, but some times is not that great… What if I wan to do some events that require group, and I cannot find anyone? What if I wan do run through some Dungeons and I cannot get a decent party?

In GW 1 that wasn’t a problem, you could make your own party with your heros. Please add them back in to game. An other thing is to add a Dungeon finder that will auto queue you in to finding group for dungeons. This will save unnecessary time wasted on looking for others and traveling through the map.

Last thing i have to say is that, convenience is one very importand factor to keep players on game. Thats one of the main reasons world of warcraft stayed alive so many years and it still is. And I am not talking just on the mounts, dungeon/raid/pvp finders, but for the huge selection of Add ons that you can add, and the games support to the addons. Its nice to create something different, but keep the guaranteed working recipes as well.

I just bought the game! I haven’t created a character yet! What a nice way to start this game!!!!

I can assure you this is very rare! There have been other brief problems, but I’ve never seen a problem go on this long.

I sure hope so! I was creating my bad kitten necromancer, and right before i can complete the creation and hop into the world for a test drive, the server went down!!! Arghhh!! I didn’t even manage to get a peek of how the world is! My excitement was blown away…
