You do realize that the game industry as a whole is targeting males age 32-39. (the guys that were 5-12years old when original nintendo came out)
That is their key demographic. (this isn’t my opinion, thats the actual projection they have researched to be the most profitable.)

As a male in that age group. They do it very well…. Unfortunatly, WE are the true gamers.
We cut our teeth on games you can’t even handle if they were released today.

Don’t try to talk down to us with the whole “they don’t have time to play games”. While that is true, the industry knows who the real audience is.

I must say my 2 favorite pieces of GW2 are your handiwork.

If not mistaken, The Madkings clocktower
and now the Super Adventure box (Minus Hard mode)

I just wanted to say I really appreciate innovate game design which doesn’t bow to the carebears. Leaning more to those of us who learned to game by having to be skilled enough to beat a game with no saves and limited lives.
Long live Nintendo!
Keep up the creativity and keep adding content for us hardcore gamers. When will the MegaMan patch be added?

You only completed them because you were doing WVW and Fractles.
So, you inadvertantly were killing vets and completing events.

If you did anything else you would have found the monthly to be difficult.

I liked the lab, clocktower, and the story tid bits when you find the ghosts.
Costume brawl was not so great because of character modles not loading efficiently. I wish the doors spawned more enemies. The ones that did were exciting.

People just need to stop complaining. Most aren’t REAL gammers anyways.

The people complaining:

never beat super mario bros with only 1 life
never played a game you can’t save
never learned that not everyone will succeed in life
never found out that life isn’t fair
never played Fusion Frenzy’s tower game.

The clocktower is fine, in my oppinion it is awesome. I have not beaten it and I am harcore. If I can’t beat it then that is just fine. The game beats me. That is the point of a game.

You beat it, or it beats you. That’s life. Go farm candy corn. It is more on your level of skill.

I just wanted to let you know that everyone can still get the first ghost to work unlike many people are saying. The bug is that she doesnt VISUALY show up when you hit #3 option on the spirit finder thing but you can still press F and speak with her.
Stand a little to the side of the asura that gives you the ghost scanner. Aprx 5 character models distance and hit #3. You will see the “press f to talk” tooltip show up on your screen. Just hit F and the dialog will start.

The bug is not that she isnt there. It’s that you cant see her.

She is there.

It is all about $$$$ and liberals.
The mentality that everyone deserves something for free has permiated society and also gaming. Also, there are a lot of gamers these days that never played some of the old Nintendo/ atari titles which required you to beat them without any saves and a limited amount of lives.

Gaming has become for the casual at mind. A study of the phsycology of gamers determined that there were basicaly 4 types of gamers. 1 of those types is the “fiero” gamer who is only happy when they achieve beyond all odds a difficult task. Another type is the “casual” who seeks no reward other than the experience of the game. This is the most prevelant type of personality and therefor the largest consumer market.

Games will be designed for this market to increase profits.

I have a couple bugs.

1. Bull charge does not allways stop at the intended target. Particularly if you are standing on a bridge or something elevated and facing outside of a 90degree angle of your target. (Example: You are fighting a mob and are in melee range and then turn a bit to the left or right and then bull charge. This will cause you to fly off the elevated surface to my experience.)
1a. Bullcharge and 2h sword key 5 do not end their movement animation at the proper time. (this is huge) How many times have I been standing right in front of a mob and charge it only to do the dashing animation for 2-3 sec befor i actually knock them down. The whole time I have been just pushing against them at point blank range!? A lot.

2. The same goes for key 5 (dash) on 2h sword.

3. 2hsword key 4. Unless I read the tooltip wrong in the traits tree whenever you use a crippling effect you can get a mini stun with a certain trait. When the Sword throw on key 4 initially hits your target and creates cripple and a ministun but when the sword comes back through the target it applies no cripple or mini stun. Is this working as intended? I believe it should re-apply the effect since you technically hit them twice with the same effect.

4. Bull charge and 2h sword key 5 dash will sometimes run you to a target that is not selected as a target by you. Example: If you are running away from a mob that is attacking you and running past a deer or something WITH NO TARGET SELECTED dash or bull charge will run you diagnoly or sideways or backwards to something you do not have targeted. This should be fixed. If I am using Dash to run away it should not autotarget and turn me around and run me at what I am running away from or run me sideways to a different target that I have not selected. Again, this is without anything being targeted and also you do not aquire the target after you have charged and hit them. This is extreemly annoying in wvwvw when I have a 50/50 chance of getting out of danger or running directly back to my death.

I have a bunch more bugs that I will post later.

I have yet to even attack a DH. I havent even seen one…. because Yaks need to be shut down. I think the people who attack the other side wuss out and feel their only chance of glory is to try to beat a lesser foe.

Seriously people need to stop complaining about warrior. Other classes outshine them in their key areas. The best thing about warrior? utility. They can do a little bit of pretty much everything.

They arent OP and have to spec very specificaly to be Strong in key areas. (which leaves them weak in other areas)

Rewards for escorting Dolyaks.

I dont think you should get a reward for helping the dolyak. it is a strategy that helps your server, thats reward enough.

If they do add a reward it should be in the form of a buff or something like that. Otherwise people can abuse it. Another way to make it so people cant abuse it is figure out the averaghe gain a player would have in PVE in the same ammount of time that it takes a dolyak to go from supply to keep and then give that as the reward.

In this case then people couldn’t really “abuse” it more than just doing regular PVE content for the same period of time.

Logan that is a great idea. Have dynamic events that make it more challanging for a dominant side to remain dominant for extrended periods of time. Currently though the dynamic events are too weak and basically just have a group of players standing around beating on an NPC with no chance of being really punished. (dying)

It would be great if the dynamic event would truely be difficult i.e (the npc actually kills people and they have to respawn.

Im on AR I really wish DH would stop attacking AR and focus on Yaks. Seriously they have had control the whole time. Instead of fighting against eachother we need to work to destroy Yaks zerg. They should allow a “truce” option between 2 worlds when the 3rd is dominating.

Just to clarify. The skills should be set so that there are basically 4 different types of each class.

Everyone in the same class is bassicaly the same. And if they aren’t they are probably playing a sub-optimal build.

I agree. There are a ton of traits and skills that really make little difference. They tried to make a lot of options for individual likes and dislikes but in reality people just learn what is a “good” skill and what is not. people gravitate towards useful skills. This eliminates personal individuality.

It takes too much thought and effort to create skills that are truely unique and at the same time not have one be better than the other.

The one thing I do not like is the fact that some skills are copied in multiple proffesions.. Ie… removing 3 debuffs ect.

I thought ANEt were visionary. The skills really show a lack of creativity.

If you are going to have skills which basically do nothing “visually” they are usually seen as boring. You should get a visual aura around you or something. Or make using non-active skills some sort of spec line.

My #1 problem with GW2 is the way they did skills. The game is amazing but the skills are pretty dull. I mean really you can play any class and half of the skills will not be purchased or probably used. Thats how bad and indifferent they are.

You should have warriors that if choosing to spec for boons and heals should have to heavily invest to get that play style. For thiefs you shouldn’t basically be stuck with “steal” build or “condition”. There should be many more options with very specific paths.

The way the skills are make every class very Vanilla.

They should have designed it so that you were constantly unlocking or working to unlock higher lvl skills EVEN AT 80.

The holy trinity is still in this game. People that think it isnt are just fanboys and dillusional. You still need beef, heals and cc. It just so happens that everyone can do it but some do it better than others…. allas …. the idea is still there and it should be. You need roles in a game otherwise just let everyone have the same skill sets. Which this game pretty much has.

It was a good idea to try to break the monotony but at the same time they have made the game very Vanilla feeling.

Imagine if you had players that truely were different than other players of the same class because they had chosen different story lines and pieced together skills because of what they have done in the game not just that they attacked with a certain wep for 20 min.

I dont like the skill system at all. There is little sense of improvement or advancement. They add this feature of slowly learning new abilities but it is a joke. You learn all your wep skills for a certain wep in like 20 min.

The idea of slowly unlocking wep skill sis GREAT…but they needed to have a lot more skills per wep.

What they should have done?
Use the same idea as they have but make the high lvl skill smuch longer to attain.
It would be awesome if even at lvl 80 you were having to do storyline quests to get new wep skills.

What they should have done?
Allow you to actually adventure to gain new abilities.

That is the true heart of Adventure gaming. Wizards that have to go to far off lands to learn new spells or Warriors that have to defeat an imposing monster to find a special sword.

That is truely awesome.

Warrior is fine. If anything the other wep specs for warrior need buffed. Mesmer and guard pretty much better than warrior as it is.

Warrior is in a sad state because they need more viable builds than 2hSword

Hmm, I guess you play Eng. Warriors need buffed if anything. They only have 1 viable skill set. Guardian is 10x better at healing and tanking. Sounds like you need to load a warrior and see how beat down you get.

Also, compairing Heartseeker to HB is ridiculous because HB is easily avoided and Heartseeker spam is not.

Warriors actually need buffed. In WvW you pretty much cant melee if there is a group fight and warrior is outclassed by ele in ranged skills. Sounds like you should not be trolling the warrior forum and go look for ways to beat warriors on the ele forum.

thank God, rush is just terrible.
You either run through the enemy or… the enemy just walks out of your swing arc and you totaly miss. I don’t mean “dodges” out of your attack…. simply walks out of it.

Healing Signet active not worth using

It’s not meant to be a huge heal, that’s the point. You use it because the regen is immense, if it gave you 90% health when clicked as well then what’s the point in even having the other heal skills? It’s already overpowered, just be happy with it until they nerf it.

It’s actually underpowered.

Mending gives you more healing over time if used on cooldown compared to the regeneration of Healing Signet.

The Healing Signet active heals for less than you would regen over the 20 second cooldown. So by activating it you reduce your sustained healing even more, even though it wasn’t good to begin with.

So basically it’s really bad at sustained healing.

Is it good at burst healing? Haha no.

How is it overpowered? Seems completely underpowered to me.

I think your calculation is wrong.
Reason being that at first being dmged you would not cast mending but the signet will immediatly start correcting for the dmg delt.
You calculation would only be correct if you take a hit which deals more dmg then mending can heal and you used it instantaniously.

The problem as I see it is that warriors probably have the lowest skill floor, meaning it takes less skill for a warrior to perform at the same level as other professions. This leads to a lot of people using warriors in sPvP and other professions then perceiving it as an OP profession.

Of course, they are extremely powerful. I remember checking my guild’s roster (we’ve got a bit over 100 members) about 4 days after pre-launch and out of the 10 highest level players, 8 were warriors

I know what you are saying but remember that warrior need like 3 utility skills at same time to perform this damage. One of them make war take 50%+ damage while doing, war can get another one to not get dmg for 4 or 5 seconds but them still can get knocked down, etc.
IF warrior fail in deliver the atk he will probably be dead or will need to run a lot until cooldown. lol
Its really hard for example to get a mesmer this way.

sword + rifle with a bleed build can do way more damage without sacrifice yourself in “all or nothing”, the same for critical build with axes.

Warriors are not a “low skill” class. Name another class that has to use all 8 skills in basic conjuntion to be the most effective?

If anything warrior needs a buff.
All our skill sets are balls and the only way to make 2hsword viable is if you make your whole spec towards it.

Warrior doesn’t need nerfed. They barely have a viable build as it is. Thats the reason you see the same basic build.

If anything warrior needs buffed.

There are tons of ways to make warrior not work.

You probably are seeing Guardians smashing face and think they are warriors. Guard is deffinatly the most OP class right now.

If you want less warriors using 2hsword then you can choose to not use it.

Oh as a side note. 2h sword is basically nerfed already because you have to use secondary skill specs just to make it viable. The fact that you cant move while using Thousand-million-hundred blade is already nerfed enough.

Hundred-million blades does not need nerfed. The problem is that it is the only viable dmg dealing skill. This is why everyone uses it. The rest of warrior wep sets need buffs.
If there were other viable skill sets people would use them. Either warrior needs a defensive buff so they can stay in combat long enough for other weaker skills to be viable OR the other weps, mace/1h sword/shield need to be buffed so they can do dmg before warriors get face smashed.

If 2h sword gets nerfed you will see a lot of people stop playing warrior.
