[Suggestion] Banners for Guild Halls

Dear Anet,

I was wondering around in Divinity’s Reach the other day and saw something that we don’t have much of in the guild halls. Banner decorations, and I’m not referring to the plain white ones with the guild logo on them! I think it would be a cool for scribing if you could make a wide variety of banners such as those banners to each of the human gods. Another that you could include are those big banners that represent each city. This could very easily be incorporated into the scribing profession and could take various kinds of cloth to make and dyes. The best part is you already have the assets in game. I think it would be cool to see some of those banners all around Tyria inside our own guild halls. Screenshot included for reference.

Outfit Bundles... Please Split them up.

Dear ArenaNet,

I recently noticed a change in trend so to speak in the gemstore and I feel I need to voice my concerns about it. Since the release of Heart of Thorns there have been 2 bundle deals, the crystal arbiter deal that was at launch and the new sniper bundle deal that was released today 11/24/15.

Here is my main concern with this new bundle system that you are implementing. I think it is a good idea to have bundles to save people money if they want something, which is a good option to have. However, that should not be the ONLY option to get certain items. Lets say for example I want to buy the new Soul River glider and I only have about 700 gems and I can not afford to buy more gems, I am locked out of buying it because I can only get it if I purchase the 2000 gem bundle deal.

This way of introducing new gemstore items with bundle only deals is very similar to what other companies have done and have gotten a lot of negative responses for it.

My suggestion would be to give us the players more options for buying items, single bundle items for example, because this current trend of bundle is forcing the players to buy stuff that they do not want just to get certain items.

This is just my opinion and I welcome others to agree or disagree with me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this Anet and I hope you take what I have to say into consideration.

Dear Gaile,

I and the guild I am in have question in regards to guild halls. I don’t know if you can answer the question or not but if you can direct me to someone who can I would appreciate it. We are thinking about switching from the Gilded Hollow guild hall to the Lost Precipice guild hall and there is one thing that we are concerned about. The question is that if we do end up switching guild halls do all of our upgrades transfer with it? The main reason I ask this is that we want to keep our upgraded arena if we do change over to Lost Precipice. Like I said if you can answer that question that would be great or direct me to someone who can help us out. Much Appreciated! Thank You!

Dear ArenaNet and Community,

I have a question in regards to guild halls. My guild currently has the Gilded Hollow guild hall and we are currently debating whether or not to switch our guild hall to the Lost Precipice. We are so far, as of the posting of this, level 18 and have upgraded our guild arena to level 2. Currently the arena is very laggy and from what we have heard the one in the Lost Precipice is not as laggy. My main concern is the upgrades we have worked hard to get. The question is if we do end up switching what will happen to our upgrades? Do we lose them all or do they transfer with us? Some clarification would be nice. Thank you!

I hope so. Me and my friends have been affected by this and we’re getting anxious to actually do the map comp. My question is are we gonna be compensated for those of us who did the map completion but did not get the rewards? Just wanna make sure.

No chest for me either. Lots of my guildies got their chests just fine. I have all the achievements done for World vs World Spring Tournament. I went to my achievements tab and looked in the WvW section and it says my server placed 1st even though we placed 3rd. Tried logging on to all my characters and going into all the WvW maps and nothing worked. Hopefully this will get patched soon because I don’t want all that work I did to be for nothing.

Feedback/Questions: The Megaserver System: World Bosses and Events

For the most part I am ok with most of these changes. I do have a few criticisms though.
Please note that these are just my opinions and my reasoning behind them.

1: “a Guild World Event does not award any merits or commendations at this time”
* I don’t think this is the right move because if it had the commendations it would give guilds extra incentive to do these world events.

2: “You will no longer be able to tell if a dungeon entrance is open until you’re on the same map.”
* This is more of a minor gripe for me since it would be more inconvenient but again this is minor. Being able to tell if the dungeon is open from anywhere is much in my opinion for convenience purposes.

3: One last thing I would like to mention is that while this megaserver system is a good idea in concept there is a flaw in it. With this new system if a guild is trying to do a big world event, such as Tequatl that requires a lot of coordination and most times a VOIP, will not be able to organize their “guild world boss event” as well or not at all because if they get put into an instance of the map where the people there are either afk or do not listen to instructions and this is very unfair if said guilds have a lot of members wanting to do it and not everyone can get in. However there is a solution to this.

Being able to choose your map instance would solve a lot of problems. Basically this concept from GW1 meant that each map would have multiple channels or instances of that map that players could choose from and the list would grow or shrink depending on how many people are there. Just something to consider since this concept worked for GW1 for its lifetime and in my opinion would be a welcome concept to see again here in GW2.

Guild Missions bugged in some zones

Dear Anet,

I am putting up this forum thread for my guild Divine Armament [ARMA].
Today (1/5/14) We were doing our normal run of guild missions when we encountered a bug that was affecting all the members of our guild. We had several zones where we did not have guild buffs(non-overflows) and we could not start any guild missions, this included guild rush and guild challenges.
Here is a list of the zones that we found this bug in:

  • Lornar’s Pass
  • Gendarran Fields
  • Diessa Plateau
  • Iron Marches
  • Plains of Ashford
  • Timberline Falls

This is more so to let you know that we are having a problem and need some help fixing this. If you need more information please contact me in game. Thank you for taking the time to read and we hope you can help us somehow.
