On my asura warrior, I have cultural armor with a crimson assassin greatsword, so maybe super greatsword for the blue guardian theme??

Sort of… From a straight DPS rating standpoint necro is lower than any other class except druid builds and power mesmer builds. (In single target fights, in fights where epidemic cheese can happen it’s impossible to rank.)

That said, there’s no fight in the game where the necro’s dps is going to hold a competent group back from getting a kill, but if you’re all about min/max’ing for a condi DPS class you’ll really want to be going ranger. Or I guess condi-PS—your dps won’t be top tier, but you’ll be fulfilling a necessary utility roll while playing with your condi’s.

I see a lot of complaints on the ranger forums too though on how rangers are better off power than condi, is that also true? Is condition damage really not optimal in the game?

I have been on a quest to play a condition damage based build on any class if it is considered “strong”. I know that as a PvE player, I have the freedom to play just about anything but I put a lot of value in working towards becoming considered “maxed” as part of my end game goals. Are all these complaints actually a reflection of the actual state of the class?

Assuming this is for PvE, keep in mind that Berserker’s gear is easy to acquire. For topshelf Condi gear you’ll need Viper’s, which may be hard to get depending on your budget. I would advise to choose your armor class wisely before committing.

How would you obtain the gear? Should I just buy it from the market?

Hello, I noticed I have around 10k WvW badges so I was wondering where is the best to spend them? I am thinking of spending a few on my norn cultural armor, then using the rest on exotics 80 gear. I also have 750kish karma if that makes a difference!

I am recently getting the hang of the game again after my hiatus and I wanted to know if there was a class that actually favors the condition variant over the power build in the meta? I understand warriors are able to pull off very nice condition damage but it irks me because their power build is just better. Sorry if this is a bad question but I would like your two cents!

Hey Chopps, I actually haven’t played this game since beginning of 2013 and I recently made time to play it again during summer. I always wanted to make a ranger my main because I just like the concept of mobile characters and I was wondering if you’d also give tips on basics as well rather than dungeons only?

Well I’ve always been a person who cares too much about looks and aesthetics. I already have deleted a lvl 40, 26, and countless other double digit characters because I thought the race didn’t go well with the class amd etc.

The issue right now is I want a Norn, but Idk if I want a Norn ranger or engi. I need some help so I don’t delete any more characters. Please help me pick!
