Soulbound to Account Bound already exists.
1) Take a soulbound item , like a Legendary.
2) Fuse it to white quality item. It will become Account Bound.
3) Move it to another character via your bank
4) Use Transmutation splitter to get the original item back. It will still be Soulbound, but it will be Soulbound to your new character instead.
The OP wanted soulbound -> not bound, to sell his stuff.
I was happy with soulbound -> account bound. But since you can’t transmute trinkets this trick does nothing to help people transfer their ascended rings/amulets…
I also think this isn’t really the purpose of a transmutation splitter, and furthermore 800 gems per item can really stack up…
It would be so innovative to see all soulbound items just being changed to account bound… ANet took the first step with the harvesting tools, now’s the time to remove soulbound from the game entirely.

Fully exotic alts are playable as well, so you don’t have to get ascendeds on all your characters.
Making the ascended stuff account bound* would be way more alt-friendly and build-swapping friendly.
*Either via a sort of soulbound → acc bound converter thingy or just via a global patch. If you can pass farming tools across characters, why would trinkets or weapons be impossible?
But to stay on-topic: a soulbound to accound bound transmuter would be glorious.
Anet doesn’t hate money, and GW2 is a great game. So if there’s a way Anet can make more money while at the same time improving the game, why wouldn’t they?

just remove soul bound from the game, not per item type but globally.
If Anet wants GW2 to be this truly unique, innovative MMO they should actually do this

Ask yourself this: why does soulbound even exist? To hate people with alts?
(If you say armor is soulbound because it’s customized for your character then alright, armor can be soulbound. But trinkets?)
At the very least I would like to be able to unsoulbind my trinkets for five laurels then just become soulbound again on use or something similar.

There are also people suggesting some king of gem item to unsoulbind stuff (making it accound bound). That would also be a solution.
I have a lot of alts and have changed the build of my main twice, leaving me with banked ascendeds which d be very useful on my alts, but useless as long as they remain soulbound. (and infusing all of them in the mf to get them acc bound isn’t really an option… )
Maybe not un-soulbind, but rather transfer to account bound.
This would come in handy when changing your build. You’d be able to give your old ascended trinkets to an alt, and buy new ones for your main. This way, the olds aren’t totally lost.
The same goes for fancy legendaries on characters you don’t play on anymore (eg: oops got Bifrost on necro but have a new guardian who’s more into rainbows… )
It frustrates me that there are no carrion, … ascended trinkets available at the laurel vendor.
High-end equipment should be highly customisable. What’s the point of having a personalised full-exotic build if you can’t turn it into ascended?
I guess my problem will be solved through ascended trinket crafting, but I still feel the laurel vendor list is lacking…
Mine (and the ones of the people I know) still are at 0 as well, even though the monthly is always full. Seems like it is bugged for a lot of people.
This would be a nice feature indeed! I hope they implement it too (maybe when they add guildhalls, activities, … )
they are super weak glass cannons with low dps compared to an ranger who has more hp and better defense AND has an pet to top it off it is like diablo 3 witch doctor all over again the barb is the warrior the dh ranger and wizzi mesmer. monk thief so if you noticed before they buffed wd in diablo 3 they were the worst class just like how an ele is in gw2.
you need to improve there dps and give them more hp AND PLEASE make me not switch elements every 6 secs. sorry i was harsh but i really like this game and i rerolled my ele to ranger i miss my asura ele but he is very weak in pve and pvp i use s/d staff sucks and trust me i seen the guides on how to play they suck compared to other powerfuly classes sorry for English

I am just writing to express my concern for the amount of insane grind that is needed to obtain the fancy goodlooking gear from the vendors in Lion’s Arch from the explorer dungeons such as Citadel of Flame etc. etc.
I mean, each piece costs roughly 300 tokens and you are required to spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours in each individual dungeon to get that gear. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.
I hope that ArenaNet will dramatically lower the prices for these set items and I hope more feel this way, if you do, post here, if you don’t need to to reply.
I dont want Anet to cave into people who want stuff handed to them on a silver platter. You are supposed to work for you items not be given them to you. I hate when people always complain about stuff like this. You dont want to take the time and get the gear, fine, then dont do it. Just dont come here and whine and complain about it. It is an MMO. It is supposed to take some things an extraordinary amount of time to get. If you got everything within a few weeks or a months time, people would say “ok did everything, got everything, ill stop playing cause im done everything and got it all and im bored”
So either learn to accept that no matter what, there is always a grind that will take a long time to do/get/acheive, or just dont play and save yourself the agony of doing it and then having to post about how you dont like it, and want it nerfed down so its easier to obtain
I totally agree with you. Obtaining high-end items should require some effort. I don’t think the amount of tokens is too high. The only thing that disturbs me is that they are soulbound instead of account bound, since I feel like it shouldnt matter if I clear the dungeon 40x with my warrior, or 10 times with four different characters.

Apart from salvaging you can also put used soulbounds in the mystic forge…
Why? So people would become able to “buy” lvl 80 characters with 100% map exploration, …
Or because you’re playing with someone else on 1 account?
I don’t like this idea, and I see absolutely no reason why they should ever implement it…
(but maybe that’s just my blind opinion, feel free to enlighten me about the pro’s of such a feature because all I see are con’s)
I agree with the OP.
Since it takes a significant amount of dungeon runs to get a full set of dungeon armor, completing it with the same character can turn into a bit of a grind (even though you can switch weapons, traits, and the dungeon mode).
It would be cool to see the tokens account-bound instead of soulbound. I feel like it shouldnt matter if I complete it ten times on my warrior, ele, necro and ranger or just fourty times with my guardian. It still is the same account/person who does these runs.
All achievements are account-bound, so why not make tokens account bound too? I like the fact that tokens cant be bought very much, but see no reason why people should be punished for playing different characters…
