I agree with the reducing the cast time on it.

I really enjoy playing my elementalist and although I’ve gotten a thief to 50 and a warrior to 35, I still feel more engaged in the fights with the elementalist, but they do seem a bit on the weak side, and to find out that most of the other professions get a 2.5 second cast time on revive signets? and do more damage….. and rarely have to swap stances/weapons(read attunement).. and can tank… and can perma blind / stun lock single targets…. and have better CC….

Really elementalists get drug along behind everyone else. A good player will make contributions to the fights with combo fields, and a earth attunement renewal can save a 15 minute fight in that last little bit, but still the elementalists are the weakest class in the game atm. At least give us a res skill on par with the other classes!

have you run it recently? One of our members was a pug, he said his last group got stuck at the same spot and we made it there with alot less deaths then that run. If it was just suboptimal group composition that’s ok, but I’m not sure what else could be contributing to getting one shotted by mobs but poor tuning. Not even bosses, mobs. Again, it could be entirely the group I was running, but it sure didn’t feel that way.

Maybe it’s just me…. But I’ve noticed that when we run CM Story mode with our guild, if we go in as lvl 80 with decent gear, the run is fast and fun, somebody usually dies somewhere along the path, but there’s no frustration.

Now if we take our lvl 40 alts into the dungeon on story mode. It’s practically not doable! I was just on a run with a 39, 42, 48, 52, 61, we made it down to the LT and sergeant guarding the drunk guy. We couldn’t pass that, probably 10 tries and not one of them had any of the mobs (LT was summoning two fighters) down past 2/3 health, yes we were focusing target but the LT was one shotting most of us and the sgt was maybe two shots to death. And we only got there by graveyard zerging our way past two of the encounters.

Are you supposed to buy all new gear just for running on level dungeons? Do you really have to spec full toughness and vit on your armor and accessories? They need to tune story mode down a bit so that casual players who want to do them on level can. Right now only dedicated players can complete them, a casual pug has a very small chance of being able too. I agree the explorable mode should be harder, but the story mode??? It’s silly to expect people to purchase all new armor for just running one particular dungeon when their not even lvl cap yet.

I just gotta say. There are people crying about unfair leads, nighttime presence ect ect. seriously? Your crying because other servers have people who play at different times? gasp Imagine that, people don’t all work the same schedule!!! And last night what happened was more than likely
“Dude I don’t have to work tomorrow and these two baddies have been ganging up and LOLowning us all night, lets down some delicious Monster Blue and get ourselves all stoked to wreck them all night and take back our stuff!”
“Coolest broski, that sounds like a bodaciously rightous plan, we’ll run around ROFLstompling them and get a lead back so when they gang up on us tomorrow it takes longer to get it away.”

If it’s such a huge deal to you that you are trying to ruin the week for one server by teaming up against them all week, then just swap servers! Instead of crying about unfair, go to a different server that has a more level presence throughout the entire day!

The fact that I can barely make any profit off of crafting exotics at this point is probably a testament to that, too. People will still sell their wares for only slightly more than the material costs, and the buy orders are even lower because someone out there will want to “get a return ASAP” that ultimately means you lose money. That’s a discussion for another thread though.

I wasn’t complaining about the difficulty, just that every craft should be roughly equal, and I’ve leveled artifice to 350 so far and it’s the exact same thing as jewel crafting. Never craft the same item twice if you want to level it faster. I haven’t had any issues getting the mats I needed for leveling artifice, I didn’t bring it up since it’s not to 400 yet and wasn’t really relevant to end game. And not making money off your craft, that’s pretty much universal for all crafts. I think somebody must have hit most of these people over the head with the silly stick when they were babies…. “Let’s see… if I go and buy all the mats it will cost me 1g or I could sell my mats and not bother with crafting and get one 1g…. lets craft it and sell it for 90s!”

Ok, maybe we don’t get hosed per say, but with the market being flooded we can’t even get cost back out of any rares we craft, why bother? Tailors make money on explorer gear, I’m sure leather and armor can also, weapons I’m not sure about, they might have the short end of the stick on this deal also.

But when it costs me 90s to craft an item that sells for 1g, first off most people don’t want to spend 1g on a single rare, secondly, I lose money by doing that due to listing fees and the cut for the house on any sale.

The only chance I have to be able to make a profit is to farm for the 15 jewels and 3 ecto’s it takes, ore isn’t that big of a deal. But by the time I have 15 of the type of jewel I’m shooting for I could have had 50 or more of any other single tier 5 crafting mat. There is not really a good way to farm jewels unlike the other crafting professions. You don’t believe me? Tell you what, empty your bags, pretend your a jewel crafter for one full day. Now go get me 15 Ruby crystals, then compare how long that takes to farming up 15 of any other item. After you’ve done that come back and let us know how long that took, then go back and get 3 ecto’s, that’s one piece. We have the hardest items to farm and in addition to that we also require globs of ectoplasm.

Maybe they did it because Jewelcrafters cater to everyone as opposed to LW or AC who mostly make things for a certain few professions?

You forgot that to level up Leatherworking or Armorsmith until that point you need litterally hundreds of fine crafting mats, only dropped by mobs, and which cost from 1 silver to 20 silver per unit, whereas the only thing you need in Jewelcrafting until then is dust. You may have a hard time leveling the last 20 levels to 400, but other armor/weapon crafting professions require way more time and gold to get to 300 (and even higher).

What your not realizing Axlord is that Jewel crafting requires Jewels. Which RARELY drop off any mobs, and rarely spawn on ore nodes. Maybe I just have horrible luck, but I spent hours and hours farming for jewels. I leveled Jewel crafting to over 300 before the Trade House was up and the entire time I wished I would have picked a different profession. Now? Players have set the costs for everything so low that it doesn’t really matter, all professions cost roughly the same around end game crafting, except for jeweler, which cost about 1g per RARE lvl 80 piece vs. 20-40s per rare piece for any other profession.

But again, this discussion wasn’t about who’s kitten is larger for reaching 400 on their craft, who’s craft was harder to level or who’s craft costs more to level.
This post was about end game crafting and actually using your chosen profession to be able to make money.

Again, NO other profession requires globs of ecto for level 80 RARES.

Yeah, we have to have 5 globs per exotic.

For Rares we need 15 of whatever type of jewel (same as other professions for insignias) plus three globs of ectoplasm. Per Rare.

I’m not complaining about requiring the 15 jewels, that’s pretty standard across the board, but need the ectoplasm for rares, when, as far as I can tell, we’re the only profession to require it? Just silly.

Does exp earned via crafting count for the monthly achievement?

You could also run one dungeon :-) That’s 177,000 xp in 20 minutes for CM, monthly completed! But it is an interesting question….

Are we the only profession that requires Globs of Ectoplasm to craft our level 80 Rares? Not exotics, but just plain old rares. It takes 3 Globs per piece, plus the standard 15 jewels of whichever stats your shooting for.

My buddy is a Tailor and he does not require Globs to craft his rares… why should Jewelers be any different in that regard?

Am I missing something here?

So I’m not sure that this is the correct place to post this, but I couldn’t find anywhere else that seemed to fit a player request.

Could we increase the warning time to… I dunno, maybe 20 minutes? Give people time to finish up their events. It’s very frustrating to have 3:30 left on a timed event and to get booted before it’s finished. Or even just make the warning 30 seconds over the longest timed event in the game, whatever that may be.

Just my .02c take it for what it’s worth :-)
