I’m not sure how or where to make suggestions for possible future content, so I’ll just put this here. It’s looking pretty obvious that we’ll never get a playable tengu race, which is a real shame…but understandable from a development point of view. Could you, in the future, instead make tengu tonics like you do for the koda? The skin of Kensho Arrowsoul, the guild hall workshop proprietor, is so kitten I’d actually spend gems to have it…or grind an insane amount of hours to get it. Anyway, please please consider it I’d so love to fight in the GW universe as a tengu, even if it’s only as a tonic

I know this topic was brought up a day or two ago by someone else, but I think it has gotten buried by the great forum lag issue. Anyway, this is a real pain for minion necros doing the hearts in the new map. Whenever you pick up the organ after killing the ley line creature, it automatically destroys all necro minons. The necro minions need to be flagged somehow so they are not affected by the organ’s effects. Thanks

Character constantly repeating dialogue

In the new area when you’re doing the “Elixir Recpie” part of the living story, I noticed that every time someone talked to the kodan Eagle Flight, regardless of if you’ve already talked to her, you repeat the dialogue about the “svanir not being very bright” etc if you were in the gryphon area. I’m not sure if this is a bug, or if any one else is experiencing it, but for me doing stuff with the gryphons, my character just spontaneously talking about dumb svanir and wishing ppl the best of luck every 5 mins is getting just a little annoying. Any one else experiencing this?

Yes same here. I was just in the middle of getting a ticket typed when I suddenly saw my gems refresh in the TP screen. Oh my heart, lol. Thanks Anet for getting it fixed. <3

Yes, I’m also missing all of my 7k gems that I’ve hoarded over the years. I nearly fell out of my chair. Been sitting in LA and more folks are saying they’re missing gems. I’m also putting in a ticket. Seems the server’s been highly volatile the past couple days (as in connectivity).

I don’t want this to be a troll thread, or “anet is a bunch of <insert random nasty>”, but I want this to be an honest tally of those of us Reapers who have felt the hit from the Jagged Horror change. I really don’t understand why this had to change…it’s been like this since the beginning of the game 4 years ago. It’s not overpowered. The damage output from them is highly relevant (at least to my mind) for the reapers who raid, and their uptime was solely dependent on outside heals in very specific situations. How many of you believe that this change has benched you in your usefulness in raid situations (I’m not going to approach fractals in this). Maybe it’s not as big a deal as I fear, but I really would like the community’s feedback on this, as this is something I feel strongly about, now with this recent patch…the two classes I play are pretty much rendered obsolete in the one form of play I liked the most. Please revert the Jagged Horror change, anet! <3

This is half serious, half joking…but mostly serious. I really do love the new Bloodstone Fen map to start off with, the flying is great and I’m having alot of fun with it. Just one thing. The white mantle have the throwing arms of Thor. I don’t mind the fact that I’m getting hit with rocks. That’s ok. I do mind the fact that they can target me at like 3000 range ( saw someone get targeted from clear across the caldera mining a bloodstone node). I do mind the fact that I can’t use my stealth to get past them (do they have x-ray vision??). The knockdowns are ok…if you can reduce the range of the white mantle…that way you don’t have half the cave hitting you and chaining knockdowns to your death at the bottom of a very deep cave. Basically, if you can reduce their range by maybe a half…or even 2/3s, that would be fantastic. And make your flight stealth effective against them too. I mean…that’s why we learned it in the first place right? <3

Ok, here’s a file I saved from PingPlotter showing my connection in Bloodstone Fen for an hour. At 3:24 I got disconnected from the server, and was able to reconnect right back in with no issues. Comments?

Pingplotter is actually an interesting program, thanks for mentioning it. I’ve been running it as I’m playing around in Bloodstone Fen, and I’m noticing alot of minor packet loss across the board when I suddenly lag spike. It takes me 11 hops to get to the IP of the map I’m on. Hops 5 and 6 don’t even show up (* – 100% loss) The one hop that experiences the highest sustained latency is 64.25.32-82.ncsoft.com. (64.25.32-9.ncsoft.com and 64.25.32-26.ncsoft.com are the other IPs I pass through that also spike but not as badly) My packet loss seems to spiral right around when that one problematic ncsoft IP suddenly jumps to 300-500ms and it lasts for about 5 seconds.

I live in Georgia US, so I’m not sure if it’s a client connection problem on Anet’s side or not. I’ve never had this much problem with client disconnects before and I’ve been in the game since release. It’s now random and frequent and it’s making it so I can’t raid reliably because I will miss an important task at a most inopportune time (ie Xera’s leylines). I know it has nothing to do with my own internet because I don’t loose connectivity with my provider, and we’ve had everything checked out with them. I’m not doing any kind of excessive internet activity while I’m playing either (like downloading stuff) I can get up to 5 – 6 second spikes (can’t click on skills, skills pulsing but not releasing, freezing screen then everything “rushes” to catch up), and when I do dc from the client, I get right back in as if nothing happened. My ingame ping doesn’t even seem to register these spikes half the time (when it does, it’s only at around 550ms which shouldn’t result in a full client connection loss). I’ve heard from others that they’ve been having the same sort of issue as well. I don’t know if there’s anything anyone can do at this point, I’ve tried everything. I’m just wondering if its something Anet is aware of, or if there’s a problem they’re trying to sort out. Thanks for hearing me out.

Cool, thx everyone for your input! I’ll play around with your suggestions. Good point about the Spite vs Death on the traitline. It was something I was also thinking about as well, but wasn’t sure. Will definitely switch that out and also will switch to plague sending.

I know that the meta reaper atm is the full viper gear/weap/trinkets with the condition duration runes, but I need some critique on a near full sinister asc set (asc viper weaps) with full krait runes. I use the toxic focusing crystal, and rare veggie pizzas for food. I mostly raid with the reaper.

My skills and rotations are exactly the same as meta (I don’t want make this post overly long with info everyone is already familiar with)

My traits are curses 313, spite 112, reaper 132

The logic I was going for is that my condition damage is much higher than with the viper set, and also my crit is higher (which also improves my condition damage due to “Target the Weak” in the curses line. I’m also fully maxed out with my bleed duration. The reason I chose Spite over Death was I thought Spiteful Talisman was good against raid bosses that typically don’t have boons, and Close to Death which does 20% more damage to foes under 50%. I don’t know the dps differences between that and the typical death traitline with the minions.

I don’t have a way to really compare the two builds side by side, what does the reaper community think?
