Ruins of Surmia – found him, but he is green-titled, and doesn’t respond to talking (just greet prompts). Spent about 30 minutes hanging around this area with a big group this evening.

ArenaNet – PLEASE give us some idea what you’re doing about this? There’s bound to be some content we’re missing due to this bug, and it’s frustrating given the short time that this content is available for…

Also – the advice about logging in to an overflow server only works if the zone he’s in is overpopulated, which it wasn’t at the time, so that didn’t work for us either.

Seconded, Thirded, how many others now? Happening more and more often on land as well now.

ArenaNet? Any answer even? Or do you only reply to the threads reporting things you have fixed?

Suggestion: instead of this response to pathing exploits, how about just having the enemy move out of range? More realistic, and offers you the chance to chase it down and finish the job rather than be forced to watch it heal within melee range.

Enemies going Invulnerable mid-fight

I apologise if this has been posted before – search doesn’t work for me at the moment for some reason… I’d be surprised if this hadn’t been posted, as it is VERY annoying.

This happens quite frequently to me, but not in any pattern I can discern.

Occasionally, when I start a fight, the enemy I’m shooting doesn’t take damage, and I get the word “Invulnerable” instead of a damage number. Even less frequently, the enemy will take damage, but it immediately returns to full health (also with the word “Invulnerable” instead of the damage score). This usually stops when my pet gets to the enemy, and starts doing damage – then we can both hurt it. Sometimes, however, the enemy will start hurting my pet without starting to take damage.

More annoyingly, this sometimes happens mid-fight. This is happening more and more often lately. Very seldom, the enemy will continue to DEAL damage, but stop taking any. More often, the enemy will behave as if it had taken out all fighters (stop attacking, return to a starting position, change pose often, and start quick-healing to full. But this behaviour is being triggered while people are still trying to kill it. (and again, the word “Invulnerable” comes up instead of damage).

This is usually just annoying, but it is VERY frustrating when it happens towards the end of a long hard fight.

Why does this ability to be “Invulnerable” even exist for enemies that aren’t plot-important?

In case any one’s wondering – I recognise the difference between a major character using an ability to go invulnerable while switching the fight to concentrate on minions, and this seemingly random “fight’s over” behaviour.

If this is meant to happen – can someone tell me how to get this skill for my Ranger?

The only one of these I’ve experienced is the Candy Corn.

But – last night my wife and I logged in, and for a few minutes, neither of us could invite the other to a party (“player is already in a group or guild” message)

I don’t have a problem losing targets – I generally use 1 (or another skill) to initiate combat, and sometimes single-click a mob to switch targets. I’ve recently tried using “target nearest” as well, and it works mostly.

My problem is this. When I press 1, facing a mob, (or sometimes in the middle of being attacked by one) – my ranger will target (with a bow) just about anything other than the mob directly in front of me or attacking me. Sometimes it will be an enemy too far away to hit, sometimes the furthest one in a group (meaning I get aggro from all of them) and sometimes (usually when I’m being attacked) a non-hostile critter or static target (supplies or something similar).

When using “target nearest” I understand that I will get static targets sometimes (although I’d rather they were excluded from this to be honest) – but when pressing 1 (or another attack key) to target the enemy directly ahead (or attacking me) I’d really prefer it NOT to auto-target something off-screen to the right that wasn’t hostile!

Bugged Event: Clear the poisonous urchins from Lashoosh

I was just there (Ruins of Surmia server) – and although the event details say 8/9 destroyed, there’s no sign of another. My wife spent hours wandering around this afternoon searching for it without any sign either.

Fairly sure this is a bug, either there’s only 8 to start with, or one of them isn’t registering as destroyed. Either way, can someone confirm or deny this finally please?
