Can we please add some kind of indicator to the map, to show what vicinity you need to remain within to complete a heart quest?
Even after all this time of playing, when re-rolling characters I find myself starting a heart quest which states “go kill orga’s” and then quite a distance to find one, only to realise you have killed them outside the proximity of that heart.
You then walk in the other direction and the same happens.
Can you not add a clear, yellow line around the proximity or vicinity which you need to remain inside to have kills count?
Are you running pvt?
yup
Has anyone else found that enemies will always agro on you, regardless of whether there are another 2 or 4 NPCs in the fight helping you?
I’m currently trying to do part 3 of the new living world content, and at the point where you take the golem to find equipment.
I simply cannot kill the weed dog creature in the screen shot, because he kills me within seconds because he simply will not leave me a lone as a hunter.
I send my pet in first and don’t even attack the boss.
The first person he runs towards… me!
I have my pet attacking him, my elite golem attacking him and the AI golem attacking him and still he chases me.
I’ve noticed this trend from day one of release.
Enemies will pin point you out and go for you and NO one else, even if you don’t attack when in some story-mode or single quest.
It can be very frustrating and in this instance, makes this quest pretty much impossible as this creature is very powerful and I’m a hunter. My pet should taking agro for me.
Ah so it does…. they didn’t exactly make that obvious! Cheers
Although having said that, I still have items missing and I have no clue where because all areas are cleared. I assume inside maybe dungeons, but the same doesn’t work for dungeons so I cannot tell.

From what I can tell there is no way to instantly see which area of the map you may have missed a heart, a vista or a challenge in?
When you view the MAP it gives a grand total, but to view the area specific count you have to warp to that area first. Now this can be very time consuming as some areas take a long time to load.
Could a facility be added to the map showing more detailed information for select map areas?
For instance, if you click on the heart total it will expand down to show a list of zones and unique values.
The same for vistas and challenges – right now I am missing one or two challenges and vistas and have NO clue where those are as trying to scan the map can also can a nightmare, especially if you have not found it to display an empty one.
This JP is hard, but you are not timed to do so. Take your time, don’t rush. You will get it eventually.
Actually that new JP there are moments when you can’t just stop and take your breath, due to the added enemies who can shoot at you or the environmental damage.
That is one reason I was so frustrated, because given time to sit and breath I could probably do it. But when you also have an enemy taking pot shots at you beneath (some of which can push you off objects from a distance) its taken it too far.
Perhaps this is just me, but I’m getting very frustrated that the two most recent puzzle jumps added into the game have been nothing short of headache and migraine inducing.
- First there was the Halloween one which was just a nightmare/impossible to do.
- Now we have this one which is part of the BOTW.
I appreciate the Puzzle Jumps are completely optional, but as someone who plays MMOs/RPGs to explore (which would include these puzzle jumps) this is seriously ruining an otherwise amazing game for me.
I expect someone will reply saying that I’m just “bad” at doing puzzle jumps, but when the game isn’t well designed for platforming to start with (twitchy jumping mechanics, sliding when you hit the ground and bad camera angels), you would think they would take this into account and make them easier.
Puzzle jumps should be a challenge and please do add more, but take into account…
1) larger character are a nightmare to jump
2) the game simply cannot handle jumping!
I love having more puzzles, but stop with the trend of new content being harder and harder and harder to point of frustration.
As a perfect example, I finally got around to trying the Southern Cover content only because I saw a massive star in the corner of the screen telling me to speak to a person in a location I had never heard of.
Did the game advise me how to get there and find this person? No!
I had to Google it.
Instead of having the Gold star point me towards Lions Arch and point me towards the person with a ship icon above his head… it did nothing… I had to leave the game world to find out what to do!
The same goes for the Christmas and Halloween content. They just add this stuff and expect us to guess where we go and what we do. I didn’t take part in the either event because I was stood in Lions Arch and couldn’t make head-no-tails of what was happening. I had to Google that too.
To make the Southern Cove content more confusion; once you do reach the island it turns into a guessing game what to do because the Gold star (which you would assume would update and change like any quest tracker) doesn’t change once you speak to Kiel!
Kiel tells you to speak to someone else, and once you find that person, it says you get an achievement but doesn’t update the gold star. It still says “speak to Kiel” despite Kiel telling you to find someone else!
Once you find that person (Levi I think), he/she asks you to scan for things, but no new quest tracker appears to measure this quest you were just given or direct you.
The same issue impacts HEARTS on the map, which ask you to do tasks but don’t give you at least a radius or general idea of where you’re target is. I have spent ages in game trying to find the required creatures to kill for some HEARTS, only to see the HEART vanish because I walked too far away as I found one.
I love this game to bits, but we need clearly direction or ANY direction on newer content or one off events. It isn’t fun having to leave the game to Google “what do I do?” to play a game.
