Guild Wars 2

So, having played through the beta weekend I discovered I enjoyed the revenant a lot. However, I have two issues. (Unrelenting assault has been asked for so many times so I’m going to skip that.)

Firstly, there don’t appear to be any ways to use racial skills. While I understand that many people find them to be utter kitten in dungeons, etc. for the casuals amongst us (like myself) I like the flavour that accompanies them. I like the feel of invoking the power of my spirit of the wild as a norn when I hit level 31, for example. It just feels like Anet are trying to cover up for a design mistake. Racial skills have always felt in the right place for me (maybe a tad underpowered) but they’re helpful through leveling (especially thanks to the auto unlock a few updates back, love that!).

I’m also a bit peeved at the attention given to underwater combat. It repeatedly gets shuffled under the rug but the lack of weapon swap underwater is disturbing. Also, none of Ventari’s abilites work underwater. Heck, I think a few legends are like that. That can’t be fair! Half of Orr is underwater! What are we meant to do about that?!

Does anyone have any confirmations that anything I’m saying is wrong? (I’m trying to be forum vigilant but I can’t go through everything, I’m sorry if this post becomes redundant as a result.) Just thought it was worth giving my two quid to the developers. It IS beta after all.

I was looking to craft a nice Box of Vigorous Splint Armour for my charr so I bought as many bones as I could, akin to the recipe on the wiki.
To my horror, however, bones don’t show up in my discovery tab when crafting. is anyone able to tell me why? Do I need a recipe?
I’m crafting level 177.
