Hey,

I was wondering if we could have a quick party button, mainly say, if you walk into a small skirmish… well I can’t add everyone to a party and fight at the same time (or survive trying), it would be great if there were a button that enabled to quickly join, and leave party’s.

It would also be awesome, if say, depending on distance, you were to auto-leave if you strayed too far.

It would really help for organisation, focusing in skirmishing against pre-grouped players, and also when following a commander that asks to split up temporarily.

Thanks for your time!

WvW - Develop the scouting game

Hey, I’m an avid Scout – I much prefer it, than to follow a commander. At times, I find myself so frustrated with the lack okittennowledgement, both in terms of reward, and the fact that scouting is dependent on players reading chat – a chat that I often find full of random ramblings.

I’d like to suggest that a new “Scout” tag be available (say for 50g), much like the commander, but with a different symbol, and the ability to have only 5 people in your ‘troop’.

The function of a troop is to allow commanders, and other scouts to see your location, without interfering with any party in which the scout may belong (such as a sniping team). To build on the concept of a troop, but not necessarily reliant on there being a troop, I would like the ability for the members of the troop to see each others ‘calls’, calls like:

1. Spotting an enemy commander – this could develop more in such a way that the commander, while within x-distance of the scout, would have a target icon shown on the map (including minimap)
2. Spotting an enemy zerg (not the same as #1) – again, if the scout spots this zerg, they should be able to call a type of target on a player within that zerg, then on the maps, a shaded red area could be drawn with the number of players spotted – this would disappear after 45 seconds or so.

These are just two ideas, but I think they could really open up strategic play, and if nothing else, would help groups of enemies find each other – and lets face it, everyone wants murder.

To partner this, I would like to suggest that commanders that are on a WvW map, are listed on the overview page – especially in light of the queues during prime time. This just helps everyone know who’s commanding where – allowing perhaps cross borderland strategic play.

To accompany this, I would also like to suggest a ratings system for both commanders, and scouts – commanders should be tagged as either aggressive or defensive (helps with multiple commanders), and both should be at the whim of other players ratings – the ratings allow other players to quickly ascertain if the commander/scout is any good, and what kind of play style the commander has.

I know there’s a fair chunk here, but I think, especially in regards to the scouts, it will really develop the wvw game.

Thanks!
