I can tell you from experience thieves are useful in a zerg, but the same build that will make you useful in a zerg tend to disappoint while roaming. There are some venom share power builds that I’ve seen tested that tend to work well (but are not very fun solo). Also, the trickery tree provides plenty of group buffs (though condis in zergs are no fun imo). As well, you can set your self up with similar d/d or d/p builds used for roaming (think constant initiative regen and permastealth) and blast the hell out of fields as you’re pushing through. I’ve used daggerstorm to break up 30 man groups by myself. Pug groups/commanders seeing this usually take advantage and proceed to mop them up. You’re not going to do that in glass though, and make sure you have shadow step to get yourself back out if they react to you effectively. Usually signet of malice will keep you up though as long as you’re not full glass.
Chaba, I swear this Andrew guy is just a Funk alt. Such bad information and missing the point completely.
This belies the fact that fundamentally, many who consider themselves to be primarily wvw players do not appreciate pve in wvw. This has been the impression I have developed after speaking with other people who classify themselves as such anyway.
On a more constructive note and to counter your obviously phalic? falicit? flawed point, that garbage spawns all over the map and even in some important choke points in EB. WvW much?

Besides population balancing, in many games you see mechanisms implemented to inhibit zerging. For example, starcraft. Yeah I may throw a population cap of battlecruisers at you (or a better analogy may be 400 fully upgraded zerglings). But even a couple high templars can storm that kitten down, then bam, counter attack and you’re in trouble. The game forces you to think and plan out your battles. Frequently in GW2, often the plan is to karma train with little thought to anything else.
Throw my hat in for those that could give two kittens about this toxic garbage in wvw. When I want to do that garbage, I do it with the gf in pve.
I was playing on my human guard at that time. Don’t recall an asuran guard, at least not in our guild. Thank you for noticing us though.
Thank you to those that joined us last night. It was an exciting bag farm. We look forward to seeing you again.
Good job [TDS] from [SIC]. Good luck, hope to see your improvement in the future.
