You try AOE using #2 on a group of mobs during a event using a scepter. You get 0 exp and 0 drops because it’s damage is too low. Try using #1 from a distance. The mob is most probably dead before that tennis ball hit the mob or the damage is too low to gain any exp or drops.

I’ve never had that experience, I feel like the #2 skill is awesome. It really melts things and is rather spammable. The autoattack is rather underwhelming but I think Smite is great. Tears down siege machines and gates in WvW better than a lot of alternatives.

I’ll give you that the Immobilize is the reason I tried it in the first place though. Tried it for the 3 skill, stayed for the 2 skill. I often have a lot of trouble choosing other weapons over it honestly, I usually end up going Scepter Shield / Staff.

I know this is off topic and I do personally enjoy the Necromancer but the way you were describing how you would have liked to play the Warrior I’d suggest the Guardian. He’s like a warrior with a closer eye on timing for specific buffs and when to use what effectively.

It’s not just terminology. The interrupt mechanic is much more detrimental to channeled abilities than casted abilities.

Sure, I’ll agree that longer channeled abilities lose all of their value when they are interrupted. But you still lose out on all of the damage and effects your casted abilities would do when they are interrupted as well. You might lose out on the larger effects of your channels but you still miss out on the lower abilities too.

My only point is that the Necro has an unusually high number of interruptable abilities compared to some of the other classes.

Well fine, nearly all of the Necromancer’s abilities have casting times that are interruptable. Terminology aside it does seem to be a detriment to the class.

Dagger 3 the immobilize? Yeah it does, go test it. The little bar under it while using the ability means that it’s a channel and interruptable. It’s casting time is just faster than other channels.

What are you even arguing? Even if I’m wrong about being camped trying to go to the red tower that wasn’t even my point. If you read anything but the first line of my post all I was saying people aren’t trying because they think they’re being unfairly attacked. That’s why there is no queue in primetime.

No, we’re being camped in TC borderlands too. Mag invaders have been fighting on the road just south of the tower on and off for hours making it a pain to get anywhere. We have kept the keep most of the day but that’s all we have in that territory.

I’m not saying you’re ganging up on us, all I’m saying is I’ve observed that the people on Ehmry bay map chats have been saying that you’re teaming up on us and because of it we have very few people during prime time. I’m sure that part of the only reason we even have the keep in the TC borderlands is because we had two commanders in that borderlands and only a couple dozen players in Maguma.

It really doesn’t matter if you’re working together, what matters is some people think you are.

I encourage a couple officers from eBay to come join our guild on TC tomarrow to see 1 that there is no alliance and 2 that what you are assuming are large TC zerg is actually two large well organized guilds with a smattering of pugs most of whom join TS.
(On Maguuma BL) but our server has these setups on every continent.

This is an honest offer so we can get by this and show you simply why we are winning based on our strategies leaders and teamwork.

I honestly don’t think it would help. Even if a few people were telling their guild members not to focus on a particular server at a particular time my server believes that they’re being ganged up on and that’s enough to make them give up at the first sign of trouble.

The issue isn’t really that we’re being ganged up on, that’s normal, the issue is we’re outnumbered because so many people on our server just quit. Definitely making me consider moving my guild to a new server… :\

Which is mildly hilarious considering in TC borderlands Mag/EB were working together the whole night to mess up TCs fun, and in Mag borderlands TC/EB were working together throughout the entire day to mess up Mags fun.

Working together to fight the top of the scoreboard is different than being spawncamped by Meguma in 2 different Borderlands. No wonder we don’t know what’s going on in the borderlands we’re in, we can barely even leave the spawn.

I’ve been playing a bit of Necromancer in WvW and unless I play a very conservative ranged spec I consistently get cc locked out of using all of my abilities. When running dagger/focus I can do decent damage if there isn’t anyone around to cancel all of my abilities.

I think one of the problems Necromancers seem to be facing is the channel time on nearly every skill the Necromancer has. Don’t get me wrong a lot of things make sense to be channels but when you have two weapon sets and only dagger 1 between the two sets isn’t a channel (including utilities most of the time) something may be wrong. I’ve seen people talking about the lack of stability but I think the issue isn’t the lack of stability perse, it’s just that everything cancels all of our abilities.

Please prove me wrong, I haven’t been playing Necro for too long and I really love the class but this oversight feels like one of the major issues especially with the closer ranged weapons.

Well I just came from world v world and from an Ehmry Bay player’s perspective, whether there was ever an alliance or not, Ehmry Bay’s players are so disheartened about the supposed alliance next to no one is even playing in Maguma and Tarnished Coast borderlands. I jumped into Meguma, asked why we had nothing on the map and I got the reply “Everyone quit, Meguma and Tarnished Coast are working together.” No queue in prime time for 2/4 borderlands? Really?

I understand HOW it works, I just don’t know if I feel like this is how it SHOULD work. It doesn’t really support the push pull nature WvW is supposed to have. Once you’re set up in the Garrison you can keep hammering the walls of the keep.

Tonight after playing on WvW for a while something interesting happened. One of our opponents had the Garrison and we had the west keep. From where they were they were able to hit the walls of our keep by building up in the mountains protected by their Garrison and launch well across the map.

They were attacking with their siege weapons from well out of our range to do anything about it and were able to take down our wall.

I dunno just seems weird that could happen. If this is something that’s intended that’s fine I guess.
