No no, sorry if this is confusing let me break it down a bit more. For instance you would have “The Wardmaster” a guardian who uses magic skills in his off-hand instead of a focus, torch, shield etc… For this example we’ll do Sword/Hand or Magic. You have your 3 sword skills as normal but for your 4 & 5 skills you’d have Ward and Death’s Circle.
Your Ward skill would act as a ward granting Protection and Regeneration and healing you for every projectile absorbed. Your Death’s Circle would be a devastating aoe ring that burns foes and does extra damage to minions, pets and other summoned allies. Essentially your character would be holding a sword and a ball of magic in his off-hand like in the picture I posted.
Hope this cleared some stuff up. You could even go as far as adding a cool PvE aspect to this and allow your 4 & 5 skills, which are magic in your off-hand, and actually advance your Ward skill even the Death’s Circle. ie: Lesser Ward, Greater Ward, Grandmaster Ward, and Ward.Well isn’t it essentially a redesigned focus offhand with a glowy-magic-empty-hand skin then?
No xD It would be like having fire spells or a green druid like watery orb in your hand whatever your class is just magic oriented with that specific class

Balance, even a “non weapon” set needs balancing (and not only due to it being free).
What you are essentially asking is for them to add weapon skills for no weapon present, which requires balancing around those skills. Might as well let the class use a new type of weapon and have those skills perform in the way an empty hand would.
Well you would have your 4 & 5 skills be magic skills just controlled with your left hand. Balancing would be the same if you had your 4 & 5 skills be a dagger it’s the same thing both skills on your offhand. You would be adding skills for your offhand which happen to be used up by magic. Essentially it’s no different.
I was looking through some GW2 general artwork, and backgrounds that both people have created as well as Arenanet. I started thinking, “Who says we need new weapons for each class come expansion time.” Now I know the big part of specializations is getting that new weapon but what if we dug deeper.
In a lot of backgrounds, created by Arenanet themselves, I see characters using a sword, or an axe, or a mace, but what is in their offhand? Magic. No weapon just their hand with glowing magic. I personally would find it SOOO cool if they introduced that. A guardian with a sword and blue fire magic, burning foes for massive damage (Burn guardians are cheap you noobs). Or a druid who can use a axe with also some long range support/healing magic. Elementalists who truly can support the name of “Spellsword”, well something close to it like a dagger because we don’t have swords, wielding a dagger on one hand but lightning it the other.

I think this would make a huge twist for GW2, I mean in all the screen shots that’s how it is one weapon and magic. Maybe they did this on purpose or maybe they didn’t I just think it would be awesome because, I personally loved running around in Skyrim with a weapon and magic in my hands. It seems the Kodan Claw (Defeat the Largos attacking the Song of Final Exile) is bugged. A bunch of players are waiting for the event to spawn for the collection of the legendary weapon, but the Quaggan event that triggers this event is bugged. People have been saying it’s been like this for awhile and they have been checking back in every few hours. “Escort the Quaggan Emissary to the Kodan Camp” Is the event that is bugged. All help is appreciated so we can get back to crafting Chuka!!
I WAS apart of a super close, friendly server. Every week we had “Theme Night” where we all voted on a subject (Asura Night, or Staff & Hammer Night) these events made our server so close and basically like a second family. With server merges it’s something of the past. It is harder to be a close community of server-mates when you have 1 or even 2 servers sharing maps with you. I have lost contact with TONS of players/friends that basically threw in the towel when server merges happened. That once close and friendly community/server was wiped away by other servers and players mixing and confusing our usual play-style.
My server wasn’t very populated but frankly it doesn’t matter we were closer than any server out there. With these server merges its just who has the bigger piece of the pie. Zerg v Zerg. Roaming is a thing of the past, and those roaming guilds who run around in 10-15 man groups are gone, or forced to join the zerg.
WvW isn’t about individual servers anymore whom are, in my case, very close, now it’s about how many servers you have with you and how many people are contained within. Server merges is just as bad as Braham buzzing his long locks off.

PS. When the server your linked with wipes a zerg and says “Nice job their server” and doesn’t say my servers name, even though we helped, there’s something wrong my server is nothing anymore.

GW2 had a poor quarter as we found out but that by itself doesn’t mean the game is dying.
Could you not simply have called the thread “Why I like the game less than before”. It wouldn’t be so sensationalist and it would actually cover the content much better.

You’re venting out on PvP/WvW. But is that the entire game? Absolutely not.
Hey didn’t mean to put it that way! Like I said in a recent post reply, I LOVE PvE I have two HoT legendaries so I’ve spent a lot of time there, In fact it’s the only game type I don’t have a problem with. I just think there needs to be some balance and some changes to make other game types more enjoyable

Sorry about the non paragraphs! And I’m not saying the game sucks, I love the game just somethings tick me off in PvP mostly. If your a PvE player then your good! I for one LOVE the living story have been following it for awhile. I just had to vent about the PvP situation and my server/guild dying because of the mergers.
I dont necessarily think the game is dying I just think PvP and WvW are VERY lack luster right now. There needs to be balance between the godly condi’s, and I for one miss my server being our own server and doing our little traditions. Sorry I didn’t clarify earlier

In the early years of Gw2 I have never had more fun with a game. I would come home from school everyday and play until I went to bed, rinse and repeat. However when people wonder why Gw2 is maybe not doing the best it can be its for a few reasons, stupid reasons in fact.
1) WvW server merges: I have had at least 50 people from my server who have called it quits after the server merges. It totally defeats the purpose of one server working together and eliminates what that server did as one. For example, my server would do “Theme nights” and reset parties at north camp before the WvW matchup reset. All of that stuff is eliminated when you have 2 other servers with you. Server merges completely destroyed my super friendly, super close server community.
2) Condi Metas: This is all about PvP and a little of WvW roaming. Basically Anet requires you, for PvP to either run the cheese condi builds and completely destroy anyone you want, since condis have been way over buffed in the past years, or your build better kitten well be able to cure condis like no other.
This is why PvP is growing less popular, I think, every day. There’s no thrill of winning a 1v1 fight if all you do is stand there and spam some condis and call it a day, take us back to the good ol’ days when we had to make builds from scratch not just jump on the condi bandwagon since they’re godly overpowered or just go to Metabattle and get a build that will make you seem like you know what your doing.
3) Buffing then Nerfing (MOST IMPORTANT): I never was able to understand why Anet (not trying to rip on anet I love them) can’t simply make all classes even. Every big nerf patch a few classes get nerfed, and rightly so (I’m looking at you Dragonhunters and Engis) but for some reason they feel the need to buff the HELL out of other classes.
So since I’ve been playing since the November after launch I dont believe I’ve ever witnessed all classes being equal. There is always 3,4, or even 5 classes ridiculously set above the rest. Like engi, I mained a engi for the longest time rocking my awesome rifle build (I’m still salty anet about removing Synaptic Overload) back when engi was believe it or not, hard to play!
Well thats my rant, I feel some of the skill and knowledge of our classes and the game are fading since new players can throw together this overpowered condi build from Metabattle and destroy everyone. I could be wrong, give me some feedback and long live Gw2 (with changes)

Wonder if this helps try it out. Options → Graphics → Resolution → Window or Windowed Fullscreen It seems to clear up most of the stuttering I can still see it a bit, but until they fix this, (hopefully they do) this better than nothing. Hope it helped!
Well I told a Anet guy in the Pvp game I was in and in the Lobby so maybe fingers crossed something will be done. I told him as he was bashing me to a pulp as I was mad stuttering ;P

Hey all, just made Nevermore the other day and I love it!
However does anyone else find it stupid/weird that it has the Scythe attached to the end of it with Necro? I find this extremely dumb and I wonder if they will remove it? Don’t know why you would add it in the first place :P Whats your opinion?
Day 2 and no fix :/ It’s a shame so many people have this problem hopefully they’re looking into this headache overload with all the stutters :P I guess I’ll go play a different game haha
I wanna add an update. It seems to be fine for me now the stuttering yesterday was horrible completely unplayable. However, today it only happens when I move my camera to the side view of my Charr and run at the same time. If I have the back (normal view) of my toon its fine just the side view is horrible.
Got this same problem here as well. More than a bit annoying, kind of gives me a headache.
Doesn’t happen all the time or in all maps, though. I tried it in Lion’s Arch, Rata Sum, Tangled Depths, Auric Basin, and Frostgorge Sound. Had it happen in the latter 3, but neither of the cities.
It defiantly happens in the HoT maps and its bad :P
Yep, same here tried updating graphics card and all that restarting jazz still getting “stuttering” glad its not only just me

Im a human Ele and I love the asura I want to change but I don’t want to start all the way over (Might do it anyway) Anyone know if they are gonna do that like on the gem store if we not we should try to encourage it!!
When im in combat sometimes I spin is circles and link whatever skill I click on? I don’t hit and keys when im spinning its just automatic. If someone could help me I would be happy

When I use my Ice Shards it doesn’t auto attack like all the other 1’s do so im thinking its my game might be laggy or something please reply I would like to finally get this figured out. Also with any of my first skills on Staff, D/D, S/D the first skill wont auto attack but Fire, Air, and Earth do :P
