I recently started to use a dps meter to know if I’m doing well.
As the dps is different at different bosses, I have no idea how high the dps should be on average on certain bosses.
When someone from qt says that he does for example 30k dps on Gorse (no updraft) it doesn’t really help, as I (and I think most other pugs, too) don’t reach qt numbers.
You sometimes have to rez or you go down yourself or you don’t trust the druid to keep you alive during Gorses cc phase… lots of things can happen that lower your dps, especially in pugs.
Of course people who low man raids can share their numbers, too, but I’m more interested what you consider good/average dps in “normal/casual” runs.
For example:
Cranger at VG melee: 23k
Cranger at VG green circle: 15k
Tempest at Gorse (no updraft) who clears orbs: 19k
Cps at …: xk

I hope this thread doesn’t turn into “this is the meta, you are only good if you play x and do y dps…”.
Dps isn’t everything; I’d just like to have some average numbers to have a rough direction.
