Guild Wars 2

I’d categorize myself as one of the “hardcore grinders” and I know I came to this game for the break from the grind.

I enjoy the grind, but it kills games ultimately… “The grind” can only be copy-pasted-and-reskinned so many times before it becomes unbearable.

I quite enjoyed the idea of spending copious amounts of money on in-game art/silly seasonal items & other, generally balance-respecting-novelty-items… Unfortunately… I feel myself logging in less and less since the launch of this patch, simply because I don’t want to waste the time grinding 9-out-of-10-days and feeling negligent on day 10. This feeling & resultantly this lessening desire to log in, aggregated with the fact that the in-game store is basically stangant in comparison to the other content being developed… is resulting in me spending a whole heck of a lot less money.

I wanted to throw money in support of the Guild Wars title… but… … Is this even the Guild Wars title anymore?

Gem Store Card Failures [Incident: 120907-002136]

Hoping to see a resolution to this soon, as there’s now another “The Legend of Rage” up for sale at 150% the price of the original one & sickeningly enough, I’m still willing to buy it…….. unfortunately, the gem store is still just a giant facepalm for me, so I’ll undoubtedly miss out on this one as well.

Despite the hundredsss I’ve spent already & the countless others I’ve attempted to spend—I’m hoping this lack of service will break me of my spending habit lol.

I’ve been using the gem store pretty frequently… and even more frequently I get Card Failure messages… is this a service availability issue or some sort of throttle that’s put on gem store usage?

I’ve attempted to use multiple payment methods in the gem store, and it pretty consistently fails to process the order/payment—I’m fairly certain it’s not an issue with any of my cards as I have never experienced this with any other game that offered in-game purchase options…

I missed an opportunity to buy the first “Legend of Rage” I’ve seen so far due to this lack of service… Hopefully this can be resolved immediately so this doesn’t happen again?

Please advise.
