Galie,

I sent you the PM about the party however when I look at the sent message, it keeps changing my last name to another word instead as if it is being censored.

Would this be any problem or it shows up normally on your side?

The support team has confirmed that this is a bug since I have an existing ticket open with them since the end of March. I assume it would of been fixed already but still has not.

Here is the first response.
"

Thanks for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team!

I appreciate your report on this issue you’re experiencing! The dodge should very much negate the damage endured and I see from your video you still take damage. I’ve gone ahead and submitted a formal bug report and the team should be looking into this soon. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you run into any other issues, we do appreciate the information you provided!

Have a great day! Happy Gaming! ?(o???o)?

I created and posted a YouTube video of the bug with annotations when I dodged.

When observing the video, the first 2 dodges fail when it should of been evade. The 3rd time I dodged, it was successful.

Sango.6502

I noticed during this update, something seems to have broken the ability dodge Tequtal’s waves.

Normally when Tequatal creates the wave, you can dodge it to evade the wave during the dodge animation. With it broken, the character is getting hit in the middle of the dodge animation as it doesn’t say evaded. Even thou if it does say “evaded” once, in the wave, I would still get hit by wave anyway which should of been “evaded”.

This needs to be fixed because other players have noticed this as well.

Killing something using an exploit may not make pugs less being noobs, but killing things using a bug or exploit severely undermines the argument that the kill was done because of skilled play. If the kill was accomplished because of a bug, then legit or not, it’s nothing to be proud of since it had nothing to do with skilled play.

Also the argument that ANet “allowed” the bug to be applied in the 1st place is nonsensical if you know even the smallest amount about computer programming.

So we are able to get 9+ minute kills without using the exploit at all. Down from about 11+ minutes before the doubling of health.

With all guardians using symbols we got 14:11 today. Guardians are very broken right now… honestly cant wait for the fix.

And i agree you cannot argue that teq is still fine using an “exploit” or broken mechanic, however it its just as doable as before without using this. But once again people HAVE TO MELEE!!! people need to get there reflects going. If there are people on the map that absolutely refuse to get in melee tell them to just clean out fingers. The fingers are what actually kills a zerg, not Teq.

“So we are able to get 9+ minute kills without using the exploit at all

Not all all? None of the guardians in there were using that trait? That’s amazing. Congrats on your kill without being helped by that bug.

Definitely possible, since various groups have posted about 8-9 minutes + with no exploit.

When I did it with ATT, 8:31.

How in the world did y’all convince all the guardians who has that trait to change it? Y’all must of been very persuasive. I’ve never seen anybody convince a whole map to do something like that before.

At time it was done, a day into the double HP update, ATT was not using it since I did not notice any hammers. This is the first time they are fighting a buffed Teq.

Listening on TS, on how we going to attack Teq there was no mentioned about a hammer, but mentioned about PS warrior, banners, Guardian walls and stuff and staying in the crit spot.

It isn’t hammers, it is symbols. Both greatsword and mace had symbols. It is the Guardian meta to run GS Mace/Torch +symbolic avenger. Unless you specifically had all of your guardians turn off that trait you benefited from the bug willingly or not.

As Aerlen mentioned after your reply.

I do believe, they there may of been inadvertent use of the bug as people were not aware of it at the time compare at the time of that battle, compared to this point of time.

Definately, Anet should fix this

We got Teq down at reset with about 7:30 remaining. Semi organized since it has regulars and pugs.

Was definitely the best run we’ve had at reset since the patch. Usual suspects populating North defenses (REQT, Fear and Salt and BURN), and some really great zerg command by BEER.

Yep definitely.

…Others, like Shadow Behemoth, have no spots that you can crit…

Anet does need to fix SB’s crit spot in particular. It’s actually located in the death spot!!

Wouldn’t expect the zerg to go in and stand it thou.

I believe I said this in another thread, but it can’t hurt to reiterate it here. The map I was on succeeded but the impression that I got was that the ‘burn’ phases just lasted too long, (in one case at least two minutes, plus) which was not a fault of the players who were doing plenty of DPS, but I think that’s where the ‘buffed’ HP really starts to change the fight into something entirely different than it was. Usually the burns between battery phases (pre-new damage) took between 30 seconds to a minute or so (if DPS was really low).

The first part of the fight, getting Teq down to 75% health to trigger the battery phase felt pretty ‘right’ on our map, maybe one defensive round longer than pre-patch? Pretty sure we hit Battery #1 just after the 8:00 mob/finger spawn.

It feels like one of three things needs to happen: Teq needs to have about 25% HP shaved off, a few more minutes need to be added to the timer, or the double ‘burn’ damage reward needs to be amped up to triple or more just for the length of the ‘burn’ itself.

I would add in addition, an adjustment to the critical spot so it makes better sense.

(also I would add in a few Quaggans!!)

I would agree Anet should adjust that so the critical hit boxes make better sense.

Not expecting a zerg would go to SB’s death spot and hit it!

Before I stopped playing the game for about over 1/2 a year and later returned. There used to be the Veteran Abom, would spawn near the Megalaser just before the battery phases. This was fixed since then.

From what I heard, it was sort of glitched spawn because as the battery phase started, Megalaser instantly took 50% damage because Vet Abom whacked it right at the start. At worse case, in some instances, the phase failed almost instantly because of other mobs hitting it besides the Abom; no one had a chance to react because the zerg is just leaving Teq’s location to arrive to the battery phase.

The way, we prevented that problem from happening was that they had someone do “Abom watch”, and alerted us when it spawn, therefore a few folks from the zerg would come engage it.

Maybe Anet should put some of the Vet Aboms back in.

Double HP for TT wurms?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Sango.6502

Sango.6502

When ATT did TT today, we were able to complete it successfully.

Phase 1 is noticeably slower. Typically you would have that little time period to wait to have all wurms around the same health and begin to kill them when it goes down to the 2 minute mark. This time, we didn’t really have that.

Cobalt was troubling too because instead of the little breather were you just do clearing, well you had to actually do both clearing and barrels so we perform more burn phases. It wasn’t until less than 1 minute, we had to do the last barrel run.

It was about under 5 seconds left that all 3 heads were down for phase 1. After that was done, phase 2 did not have any issues.

We did notice that phase 2 Cobalt glitched which was a bit hilarious because it would typically come after us into the rock face. It was stuck at around the dock at the ocean, so we went after it and did a little bit of a burn on it, then suddenly it teleported to the rock face were we would normally do the burn, so we all ran back to finish it off.

Teq is still very doable with an organized group. We kill him every time with 8 minutes and change to spare. He needed the buff. It was ridiculous how fast his health was going down after the big patch. Teq is not meant to be completely faceroll.

I still haven’t gotten an answer to my question.

BTW, you keep saying that you are beating TEQ with more than 8 minutes left after the patch. Can we get a video please?

We killed Teq today with ATT guild spawn with 8:31 remaining on the clock. Note, this was ATT’s first time taking on Teq after the patch.

Everyone in the zerg was tightly packed at the crit/DD spot throughout the entire fight. Lots of downs (not dead), and lots of banners to keep rallying us up with all of Teq’s AoE raining down directly on top of us.

Based on today’s outcome, I think we will tweak up a few things for the next Teq encounter.
