Guild Wars 2

Oh lame I hope not Lilsteele, I figured so long as I purchased the account, I can let anyone have a go on my characters if I so choose. I mean I own the account I paid for so who I let try things out on should be my right and I dont own more than one, nor do they tecnically get to make anything on Guild Wars. No different t handing over a controller for a bit and just seeing how it runs on a Mac.

Oh well it won’t be an issue for long but thanks for pointing out the possibility I’ll have to check the User agreement in the mean time.

Purchasing the account is all well and good I am just hoping that if a Mac retail version comes out, the beta users can simply upgrade without having to purchase the proper version and having to pay a second time so they can use the optimized version rather than the functional (but not ideal according to Anet) version of the Mac game.

Thankyou guys for the links and quick responses, now just hoping for some form of confirmation from the team that people who play the Mac version but purchased accounts will be able to simply upgrade. I dont see why it wouldnt work that way as a download is useless without an account (which would’ve been bought already) but there you are. Friend and I just wanna be reassured

I have been asking around on behalf of someone who uses my account to play the Mac Beta with my characters as they have no retail version to purchase of the game that allows them to create an account for anything other than windows (they do not own one).

First Question: For people who do not own a Windows disk but want to play the Mac Beta, is it possible to buy a serial code from arenanet without having to purchase a Windows OS disk? If so where can I send them to do this?

Second question: When the Beta ends which presumably it is going to eventually, will the Mac Retail version be something people can download if they already own an account or must the people currently playing Beta’s go in and buy a Macintosh disk to install it? It seems to me if the above answer is no, then people who want to try Guild Wars 2 must either use a friend’s account or buy a windows version to play now and then have to re-buy a Mac disk (or just wait until we get news on the Beta’s schedueled end).

I am having trouble with the represent option for guilds on my main character: Ragnarr Redmane. I have another character, an asura called Ziggiwoo which IS capable of representing guilds and all other functions work. It is the main character however that can LEAVE guilds but never represent and therefore is locked out of guild chat etc. This feature was working yesterday and since then I have only played him to advance personal story and done WvW. I first noticed it when a second guild invited me and after having stood down from representing KORS, I tried to represent Gunnar’s Hold GBH and that failed.
I have now left all my guilds and had a friend re-invite me to one called Vindictum [VM] and after multiple relogging attempts and subsequent failures.. I am at a loss as to how I should fix this since I don’t want to have to delete my main character or train up a whole new one just to have a decent time in WvW helping my friends.
It should also be noted that a strange side effect seems to be showing in my Contacts page that my status does not change back to Online when I click it. It remains on looking for a group.
Help would be appreciated greatly!
