Play style (do people only play the “elite” specs now? I don’t have HoT, and they’re just a new weapon each profession can use right so you can swap to your second weapon still but you would not be in the “elite” spec? Idk I’m confused by it… it’s not a whole new profession right?), queue times, and how are games?
When I played at release and for maybe a year after release PVP was pretty fun! I felt like games were decently matched and the fights were pretty awesome.. I’m wondering how it is now?
I obviously have not played since I left a few years ago.
So ppl only play the specialized classes in pvp now?

Awesome, thank you!
I’ll look up revenant videos then, see if I’ll like it haha.
How do specializations work in PVP? I know for PVP you’re put at max level and everything is equal except skill (other than WPVP) so can we choose a specialization without HOT or no?
Once you choose a specialization are you essentially a new profession and you can’t switch back?
Like if I chose Druid then I’m a Druid and no longer a ranger and have a whole new set of skills and weapons?
Hi!
So I played GW2 when it first came out for awhile but then quit. I’m looking to come back and I am wondering… should I pick up HoT? If I don’t, will I miss out on a lot? I see there’s the Revenant profession and some profession specializations…
I’m guessing they’re both only included when you purchase HoT but are they only available after max level in the original GW2? Or does Revenant start at lvl 1 like the other professions?
I’m mainly interested in solo queueing PVP and WPVP.
I just don’t want to pick up HoT and end up not playing very much so I’d like to see how committed I am first. But from what I remember for solo PVP or queueing you are bumped to max level and are able to spec at max level… will the class specializations provided in HoT be available as well even if I don’t have HoT? If not, will I be at a huge disadvantage then?

Just wondering… will I be missing out on a lot if I do not buy the expansion right now? It looks like it adds a lot of stuff to the current professions and adds in a new one.. but does all of this come after max level in original GW2 (revenant professions, class specializations, etc)?
This is with regards to both PVE and PVP
Why do you take the trait “Meditation skills are now instant cast” in Valor tree in the Staff/Mc-Fc symbol build? I thought maybe it would make Empower instant cast but I just did it and it’s still a 2 1/4 cast time hmm I’m just confused, definitely wanting to try this build so I’m asking! This is my first Guardian :P
