I should add the only reason why I pre-purchased this game was because of the thief class it got me excited.

Heartseeker at 25% on my condition thief hits for up to 2k

that’s if you get lucky and the heartseaker actually hits, after then nerf heartseaker misses a lot. I only use it to move around quicker now.

I wouldn’t roll a thief for pve, they are just too weak but give it a try though maybe you could prove me wrong?

You probably might have to switch traits and change your armour/accessory setup every time you decide you want to pvp or pve.

Thief has base hp of 10,805. Look at this number, mull it over for a minute. What does the thief need to get to compensate for having so few HP? Avoidance? Higher damage… burst? What? He certainly doesn’t have more armor… less in fact, which compounds the small HP further. So, to compete, he needs to do some things very differently, he needs to deal more damage, because he can take less…. or he needs to avoid damage… or a little of both.

you should add we don’t have any sort of block either.

I think it would be fair to say that most of us feel the same way as Runcore.5107. In saying that I don’t think I would waste my time leveling another class to 80 and buying more gems to get gold for gear, weapons, crafting etc.

Just imagine having to get all achievements map completion again on another char. No just No.

Hmm, yesterday in Full Khilbrons set Prec/tough/cond I was 100-0’d by a thief. I was wearing the maximum armor available to a mesmer. Full armor runes even.

I have 3 full sets of exotics on my mesmer and have had this happen several times by various thieves. It’s not often but enough to show me there is a couple broken thief builds in WVW.

Just fought a thief 2 minutes ago that did over 17k damage in 1 second. I have 2424 armor in this build.

I can’t even imagine how ele’s or someone playing glass cannon would deal with that.

Look at past nerfs heartseaker, pistol whip, assassin signet and yet people are still asking for nerfs it will never end.

I don’t enjoy this game anymore like I used to with all these nerfs and me having to buy new gear/runes/sigils. I think another nerf would hit the nail on the coffin.

To let you know. Nerfs/balancing are in no way balanced around WvW. The devs said this from the start. As an example “Save Yourself!” last the full 10 seconds in WvW. sPvP is the key balancer.

Correct me if I am wrong..but then why is it that every thread that I see with the title s like “thief needs to be nerf” are all related to wvw experiences? I have still to come across a thread that QQs about thieves hitting 18k backstab in spvp.

So ive been testing loads of builds. So i do know what im talkin about and have ACTUALLY READ other ppls threads on this topic.

Who thinks the greatsword skin got too much attention while our dagger skin looks like a joke?

Even if you take a look at legendary weapons the greatswords looks way better than most other legendary weapons.

Why not add severed arms to the greatsword??

I think its unfair that they put in so much effort into designing greatswords and shields in this game and ignore the rest. I thought at least this event I would get a decent dagger skin but was really disappointed : (

That’s in WvW you get orb bonus, obviously your going to get hit a lot more if the other server has all 3 orbs.

Translation: Thief survivability in dungeons is bad when you use PvP doctrine to engage high-HP opponents that are tuned for an extended fight.

Thieves aren’t doing poorly in PvE, they are however one of the professions that does not do particularly well bringing PvP setups directly into PvE.

Same could be said about players using other classes with PVE gear.

Have you guys noticed when thieves get downed in a fight 99% of the time we die. We have no chance at survival unlike other classes.

I think the devs should actually play the class and try most popular builds that players use to find out how weak thieves are and not give into crybabies who don’t know how to play their own class.

I think if they nerf thief again I’m done with this game.

I spent $60 only on keys and got tonics, boosters, black lion pickaxes/axes and trader express. I think I am done with the cash shop. Never again.

I think the daggers were poorly designed and to make it even more ugly they added severed arms wtf??

Not all items at the store are aimed at gamblers. The witch’s outfit, for example, is great. The look alone is worth 400 gems or so, and the extra abilities (summon cat, create cauldron, and fly around on a broom) definitely bring it up to the 700 it costs.

Of the items introduced in Halloween, I would also buy the aviator helmet if a) it looked good on charr (looks good on all other races, but on charr it covers the eyes and makes horns disappear – wtf?) and b) it was an actual armor skin, and not a piece of town clothes.

The Halloween pets are cute, too, but overpriced.

Yeah that’s fine. I really love the witch outfit and mad kings outfit but sadly they are outfits and not Armour skins I cant use them in combat. When I play guild wars2 I’m always in combat zones, I hardly ever find myself standing around out of combat zones. It would be stupid to switch from outfit to Armour just to go to pick something up from trading post :p

I wish they were like the Primeval Armour skin, So i could use one skin for PVP gear and the other for PVE

Oh yeah I completely forgot about those mini pets. I found it a bit annoying that I had to buy the Miniature Spooky Trio Pack twice, in order to get Chainsaw the Skeleton.

Come to think of it, I think I spent much more than $60!
