The aerodrome will be part of Fort Mariner. It is a military service, just like all airships in Tyria. The entire purpose of the Aerodrome is to defend the city from anything that attacks from the air in the future, like Scarlet did.
Nowhere is it said that it will be the sole purpose though. Anyway, it still could use a more interesting name than the city it is placed in.
I think people who want to vote for Lion’s Arch Aerodrome need to take a step back and look again. Preferrably looking at the map. The thing will be in Lion’s Arch already and it will likely be placed in one of the wards – why then not name it after the ward instead? City’s name won’t really bring anything interesting to the table.
Apex Aerodrome may not be the best candidate we could come up with, but it sounds like it could serve as something else than military airport. It falls into mind quickly and does make me think it’s some main hub – but maybe that’s just me.
And euhm… has Maklain written a new song to share with the people of Tyria in the near future?
Now that would be lovely? Any takers on what it might include?
His spawn just as evil and vile,
Edric Prince, the red-stained child,
Once King’s will was done, were in ground son’s cries gone,
Be afraid of the Mad King Thorn,
Be afraid of the Mad King Thorn.
I think a candy corn hater will visit me for this one.
“Leader will die. The rest will fall in line.”
Arenanet is quite good at evading most theorists – so many thought it’ll be Jennah. Though hopefully the Pale Tree won’t die – that’d be too sad v_v
I’m guessing the reason it’s an outfit and not separate armour pieces is because it would clip badly with existing sets. Outfits are a nice alternative way that the designers can be creative and not have to worry each time about clipping issues.
Also with an outfit rather than armour set your Appealing to every armour weight user rather than say only medium.
Frankly, the existing armors often clip somewhat silly. Very often I realised that for example pants were going through the coat and such. Compared to such things, I can’t see how it can get weirder with outfits.
Every week I play, I see less and less people I know.
Sure, part of the reason might be the headstart of Wildstar right now. But it doesn’t explain the previous weeks since the implementation of Megaserver.
Piken Square is built on communities even more than most servers. And the Megaserver severed those communities, unless each person had hundreds of names on their friendlist and they didn’t mind spending a good deal of time getting people into the same shard.
I really want to know, who was the clever developer that believed that megaservers are the new best thing on the market? It didn’t work out for ANY mmorpg. For games like battle simulation and such it makes sense, since you don’t care a lot to keep interacting with most of those people.
It might be just me seeing things, but it seems that Megaserver makes people leave the game.
Let’s be honest here. Most of the money paid come from visuals in this game. Town clothes, especially the single pieces, are a very important part of that aspect. And every person loves to personalize their outlook, be it dyes or accessories.
So, why, please answer us, are you forcing now a single design of clothes in the form of tonic? Why will anyone want them now?
I won’t be asking for refund for my ruined townclothes YET for only one reason:
Because I hope the company can actually reconsider this part of update.
Considering her last passage in the diary, it seems likely she wanted to wake up the dragon and kill it with her army. She was still giving them orders while we entered the holo platform, so I guess she didn’t want to just lose it all. Yet.
Problem is, as the plan was growing, so was the dragon’s influence. Possibly to a degree where she was really losing control, even needing to occupy her mind to just think, again seen at the platform.
I guess I don’t follow these things enough. It has pluses and minuses though. Lets other characters step into spotlight for now, even if it’s Logan being toyed with by Taimi!
Since the “heroes” finally dealt with Scarlet and with rumours of an epilogue inbound, many questions have been answered, but some new ones sprout:
- Will the Lion’s Arch be slowly rebuilt (potentially changed)?
- Why did Kryta send a symbolic aid after the city sent them generous donations very recently?
- What will happen with Heal-o-tron?
- Will anyone take Scarlet’s body to the Grove?/Will Pale Tree spill the beans about the nature of the darkness in the Dream?
- Where is Caithe?
These and many more boggle my mind, hopefully part will be answered in the end. But I’m sure many others have theirn own mind-bogglers?
Once again we find out that Scarlet has been a busy bee, this time with the Krait.
So far she created the Molten Alliance, orchestrated a failed coup in Lion’s Arch, failed assault on Divinity’s Reach, the Aetherblade assaults and many other operations. Which means that, in fact, only (some) holidays were untouched by her presence and much of Southsun Cove. A grand plot involving monsters, corporation without morales and many other interesting twists.
I loved Southsun Cove. I also liked some of actions that were undertaken along Scarlet’s plans. Scarlet herself, however, seems to be more a burden to Arenanet. Sooner or later we will face her off and defeat/route for good. But no other characters on the “bad” side are there to fill in the gap and give more interesting plots. And all of them will probably feel much weaker than Scarlet, who, despite being crazy, is also an ace in politics, golemancy, bioengineering and many other fields.
Perhaps more people serving under her should become prominent and take parts of her grand abilities onto themselves. It is my belief that although leaders should be prominent, they also shouldn’t be all-knowing. If she had experts in some fields to fill in her shortcomings, it might only improve the story.
I would like to hear from Arenanet that more morally questionable characters are to be developed, but right now it seems like Scarlet ate them all.
I was wondering about that as well. Sure, the game is pretty much a simpler version of League of Legends…
But it is just too fun! Rarely do I get to play a proper sniper.
Edit: Though I do like the Inquisition as well. Decisions.
