I see three problems with the way that Elementalists are, for design reasons and for the current state of the game, in order of importance (in my opinion)

1) pre-cast times. What I mean here is the time that a skill takes from when you press the button to when the damage/effect triggers. Scroll through all of your attunements and all of your weapons and cast all of your skills. You will notice how a lot of skills have a rather long pre-cast time. You could argue that this is also the case with other classes, but the Elementalist is meant to be bursty, fast paced, and quick. Even some of our mediocre or useless, more or less, abilities have long cast times. Flamewall, ice shards, shatterstone (oh god) shockwave, static field, etc. I could go on for a while. Imagine if some of these skills had faster animation/cast times while you were in sticky situations, or if you were rolling through a combo. Combat would be much cleaner and it would flow more.
2) cooldowns. this has obviously been brought up earlier in this thread, so I won’t go too in-depth. Attunement cooldowns should be reduced to something like 9 seconds with 0 arcana and maybe 5 seconds with 30 in arcana. I only see problems with off-hand cooldowns on focus and dagger, and cooldowns on certain utility skills, such as armor of earth.
3) Less trait-based healing. Nearly all elementalists you will find have at the bare minimum, 10 in water magic. A majority of us will have to go higher to maintain the survivability we seek, often sacrificing a lot of damage in the process. I suggest introducing unique ways of acquiring health through the use of our skills. For example, fire grab would give us a ~1000 heal should we land it on a burning foe, or we receive ~500 health for each projectile we catch with Swirling Winds or enemy we stun with Static field. Unique ways of healing, in my opinion, would increase our survivability while also encouraging us to try and make optimal use of our skills, rather than spamming them when the incredibly high cooldown has been cleared.

Unfortunately I think that Meteorlogicus is not intended to glow while it’s sheathed during the daytime, why they’d do this is beyond me. Regarding the bug with Meteorlogicus having both glow effects during the night, it normally happens to me only right after I load into a map and not if I un-equip and re-equip it. The daytime glow will disappear and only the night colors will show if I enter combat or unsheathe the weapon. Also there is a bug with the scepter being wielded on charr. When sheathed, during the day or the night, the footprints while running forward and on all fours do not work properly. Only one footprint is produced, and it is specific to neither of the charr’s paws. It appears inbetween where the two feet landed. The footprints work properly while standing on their hind legs as a human would.. Meteorlogicus is absolutely wonderful aside of these two aspects, I sincerely wish that something was done about them.

Going for Meteorlogicus!
I’ve been working at it since about the beginning of August, before the changes were made. Since then, ive got almost everything done. I bought the precursor when it was only 150g, so I got lucky there xD
All that I need to complete it are the following- 75 more Icy Runestones, and I need to finish the stacks of Powerful Blood, Vicious Fangs, Armored Scales, and Ancient Bones. Then I will be done!

One simple suggestion that I have relating to crafting. When one puts a combination of materials into the discovery panel, a window comes up on the right side of the window, showing you what you made and what you made it with. However, this window does not go away when you discover a different item, which is rather annoying sometimes. My suggestion is to have the most recent item you’ve discovered override the last item you created in the crafting window, this would make it easier to craft more than one thing when you discover it, rather than going back to the other panel and scrolling through the entire page to find what you just made.

From what i can see, the immobilize on the 3 skill is made so that it is easier to get damage off with the scepter; both the 1 skill and 2 skill.
