Oh good, we could use another translator. I’m actually American, myself, but I’ve been living in Yorkshire with my English husband for 4 years, so I can make out 3-5 words per sentence, now.
Sent you an invite. Welcome aboard. Hope you’re not easily offended. :P
No, seriously, the Psycho Titans are terrible. We spend so much time goofing around, poking fun at each other, getting lost, and dying, it’s usually hard to get anything done. Ever tried to wrangle drunken feral Geordie cats with ADHD? It’s such a common situation in our guild over the years that we just call it The Titan Way™.
But we have lots of laughs making a mess of things.
We’re an English-speaking guild, based in the UK, but we have, and welcome, members from all over the world. The core members have been playing Guild Wars together since the release of GW1 (in fact, myself and the guild leader met in GW and married four years ago, Halloween.) Most of us are adults (we have arm hair, and everything!) with jobs, families, and lives, so there’s no pressure to be HERE at THIS TIME and STAY.
We’re on the [Vabbi] [EU]server.
We use Mumble for voice chat, but it’s certainly not a requirement.
We’re primarily a PvE guild, but we do dip our toes into WvW quite often, and may venture into PvP now and then.
If you read all this and still think you might be interested in giving us a try, send me a PM in game, or here on the forum, or contact “Vorian Black.2190” / “ramma.2401”
While I totally understand that desire to have that heavy armour look on your light armour-wearing character (my poor Sylvari necro wants some badkitty plate), folks here have brought up good points about balance and believability.
That said, maybe if you could only transmute 1 level heavier or lighter…
E.g.: heavy <—>medium <—> light
In the end, though, I think that would just overcomplicate things, and I’ll just accept that I need to make another character who can wear the armour with the skin I like so much.
Well, if they actually extended the event because of Ms Sandy for the Americans.
They will be setting a precedence. In which they will have to extend or change events for any or all “problems/events/ disasters” that crop up across the whole world. Unless they want to say that Americans are special.
ArenaNet set this precedent many years ago… They’ve extended an event in the past, when there was a natural disaster in Asia. They’ve even repeated events a couple of times (although, those were because of technical failures, IIRC).
There aren’t that many natural disasters in a year that it’s unreasonable to wonder if they might find a way to accommodate folks. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t possible with this event, as they’ve stated. It’s too bad they just couldn’t manage it, but I think most people understand.
I quite like your idea, Clever. This way, chests remain “chance items” but a long streak of bad luck, or a problem drop rates, won’t keep someone from getting that special item… eventually. Using the hotel analogy above, it’s a bit like a punchcard for staying with them repeatedly, that culminates in a free night’s stay.
Such tokens should be account bound, as well.
I’ve had this issue since release day (despite everything working fine in BWEs), and have had 2 tickets closed and “locked” by ANet regarding it. I don’t hold much hope at this point.
My GW1 account name was changed – without warning – in the process of trying to make GW2 accessible, and because they’ve disabled email address changes at the moment, it’s impossible to change it back. So, now both my GW1 and GW2 accounts are less secure than they should be. Not a happy camper.
Same situation on the Vabbi server. The event is stuck at “help the agents escape”, but they won’t move.
